“Perfection”

This property is really special - we loved staying here. Aesthetically the place is perfect. Lovely mountain backdrop with well kept grounds. The rooms are light and pretty. The balcony offers magnificent views over the pool and the lake. Breakfast was great - a nice selection which varies slightly each day. Francesca the host is friendly and helpful with plenty of local recommendations. The place has a real family feel, especially with West the dog making a daily appearance (very cute). The place is very clean and the room is cleaned while you eat breakfast which is a nice touch. The swimming pool was available for use - we did take a dip but was very cold as expected in October. Nearby is a lovely restaurant called Sci D’Oro which is definitely worth a visit. Colico is a small area in comparison with other places but we liked how peaceful it felt to come back to the area after hectic days in places like Bellagio/Como etc. We visited without a car and it is manageable as long as you are prepared to do a fair bit of walking.

“Perfect in every way”

Breakfast was delicious. Amazing selection and variety. The location surrounded by countryside was beautiful Views of the lake and mountains were just spectacular. Pool and poolside perfect. Francesca is such a lovely lady. She was very welcoming and friendly, the perfect host. The Villa was spotless, bed was very comfortable. So many lovely touches, Francesca has thought of everything to make your stay feel special.

The Host - Franceska - was Great, helpful simply Amazing Charming Lady. Great breakfast, clean large Swimming Pool, sitting outside on the Garden and the view - Fantastic - you can see both lake and mountains. If I have a chance and will be near by - I would love to come again.

Rich breakfast with mountain views, possibility to swim in the pool during sunrise. Interesting destinations within a reasonable distance, especially mountain villages, towns close to the Swiss border.

From our first contact with Francesca she made us feel very welcome, and this was confirmed during our stay. From picking us up at the train station to her excellent recommendation for dinner (Sci D’oro is a must visit), to delicious breakfasts we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We spent 4 nights in Villa margherita and the experience was amazing. First of all, Francesca, the woman behind this place is amazing, she thought of every detail building this place and it is perfect. The view is crazy, the swimming pool is so nice, even the breakfast is perfect. We came to the hotel with electric car and Francesca thought of that too and you can charge your car there. Like I said every detail has been thought of. In conclusion: this place warth every penny

“Beautiful Bed&Breakfast with a view”

Our expectations were exceeded here. A very well-kept property with a large garden in a rather quiet and non-touristy area. Pretty, well-kept house that actually looks like a small villa. Beautifully and lovingly furnished, clean rooms. There is a terrace with a view of the lake, where breakfast is served. The pool was another highlight. Swiming at sunset was fantastic! The breakfast was really excellent with a great, regional selection. Very tasty! Special mention should also be made of the owner Francesca, who speaks several languages and was very friendly. We received a very warm welcome, were given tips for restaurants and hikes and felt completely at ease. Highly recommended. A little gem!

“Perfect!”

I don't even know where to start - the stay at Francesca's excellent Foresteria Villa Margherita was amazing from start to end! She is a very welcoming person and cares about every guest. It's a familiy environment which we absolutely adored. The pool and the view is stunning, so are the rooms. Very cosy, easy but with style, clean and large. I hope we can return this year again! “Relaxing stay”

The villa is just beautiful. Immaculately clean and spacious room with a balcony and the most amazing view. The swimming pool was lovely on a hot day. Again very clean and quiet. Breakfast was a continental breakfast, simple but delicious pastries. Thanks Francesca for a lovely relaxing stay, highly recommend.
