A Peaceful Stop in El Calafate Apart Hotel We stayed here for one night as a stopover on our journey further south, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The setting is very quiet and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains—waking up to that scenery was a real highlight. One of the things we enjoyed most was simply sitting outside the room, taking in the landscape while sipping our favourite drink. It’s the kind of place that naturally invites you to slow down. For those who enjoy exploring, there is a well-signposted trekking path to Río Claro just nearby, making it easy to connect with nature. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh and healthy local produce, and the service throughout our stay was attentive and welcoming. Although we only stayed one night, we would definitely return and spend more time here in the future.

We loved the location of the hotel. It is very much outside of the Coyhaique centre but if you have a car it should not be an issue. We loved how relaxed it was, and the surroundings were beautiful.

Homie made breakfast was lovely. Andrea was helpful and kind. The view from our bed was the biggest highlight. I'd also like to mention the cleanliness of the hotel, both room and public areas were great.

I had a wonderful stay at the Calafate. The location provides a spectacular view of Coyhaique and Cerro Mackay, and the panoramic windows in the room permitted full appreciation of it. It was only a 15 minute drive from the centre of town, and the hotel provided the contact of the charming Don Manuel, whom I used as a reliable and fairly priced taxi service. The staff were incredibly friendly, the decore and layout of the property outstanding, and the breakfast was ample and delicious.

“Beautiful property in a peaceful setting”

This is a beautiful property nestled within a gated rural estate about 15 min drive from Coyhaique. The rooms are spacious and super comfortable. We stayed in room 7 which had a king bed, seating area, large bathroom, a kitchenette with sink, plates, cutlery and microwave, and large windows that look out out over the surrounding countryside and hills. The decor of the rooms and common areas is modern and soothing. Loved the artwork by local artists which is displayed in the hotel, as well as the locally-made natural toiletries in the bathroom. There is also access to the river and a 20 L bottle of filtered water in the room. Definitely one of the best places we stayed in our trip to Patagonia.

Super comfortable and relaxing stay in modern hotel with great views. The rooms are spacious and complete with access to the enormous garden. One thing to consider: hotel is a little bit outside of Coyhaique so only book if you have a car and don’t mind driving into town for dinner. Staff is super helpful and responsive as well.
