Overview
The Ocean View Hotel in Coffee Bay is located along South Africa’s rugged eastern coast. Situated between towering cliffs and the Southern Ocean, some rooms include panoramic views. There is a pool and sun terrace. All brightly furnished and sunny rooms feature a private bathroom and tea-and-coffee making facilities. Most rooms feature a balcony with views of the sea or the hotel’s garden. A buffet breakfast is taken at the restaurant. There are also bar facilities and packed lunches available for guests. The thatched-roof conference centre also doubles as the communal TV lounge and games room. Ocean View has a wellness centre with massage facilities while there is a children’s playground on site. Coffee Bay Beach provides opportunities for swimming, surfing and fishing or Mdumbi Beach is only a 22 km drive away. Near the hotel are coastal hiking trails to the rock formation Hole-in-the-Wall.

The meals were very good and we had an excellent Christmas dinner and were spoiled on this special day. The personnel were very accommodating and friendly. The room was beautiful and the bed comfortable. Loved the sea view.

The location was wonderful. The beach was in a small bay of it's own and very private. The room was very clean and neat, just like the pictures. The staff were super accommodating changing our dates.

The hotel is located in a perfect location and worth the trip to Coffee Bay. The pictures on the website for Ocean View Hotel was deceiving in that the actual Hotel was really not up to standard in terms of service and maintenance.. For the amount of money we paid it was really not OK. The bar had no stock The staff were not apologetic The food was poor The lights in our room did not work The shower door was missing The coffee machine wasn't working The beach bar was closed The pool area was neglected We really hope that you take this feedback seriously as there is alot of potential at the hotel especially compared to the other accommodation spots in coffee bay. We also suggest doing some activities like themes dinners and horse riding a d a petting zoo or games room or something to keep guests entertained Thank you
