The staff was very friendly. We arrived after the closing hour, but they gave us all the information to have an easy self check in. For breakfast we had lots of food and drink options. There is a parking spot, about 5 minutes walk from the hotel, easy to find.

“Exceeded our expectations!”
Our stay at Hotel Germania exceeded our expectations! For my girlfriend's birthday, we traveled to Cochem last Easter weekend. We had never been to Cochem before, so we didn't really know what to expect. We only planned to take a nice walk and catch a wine tasting somewhere, and then visit the castle and the Bundesbank Bunker, a secret Cold War bunker, the next day. Even before we had properly left, we received a message from the hotel that they were organizing a wine tasting on Saturday afternoon in collaboration with two wineries from Cochem and asked if we wanted to participate. Hotel guests could even participate for free! Now that is a great start to a weekend Cochem :) On the day of arrival, we parked the car at the old Cochem trainstation (which costs only 3 euros per day if you drive on to P3) and took a beautiful walk from there along the vineyards on the Moselle. After the walk, we unpacked our things from the car and walked to the hotel. The hotel is so centrally located that it is a walk of less than 10 minutes. The hotel is situated by the river, close to the bus station and the beautiful old bridge. The staff who welcomed us were very friendly and helpful. "Just one night? Next time you definitely have to stay longer!" He was right about that: Cochem has so much to offer in terms of nice family-run restaurants and bars, walking and cycling routes that we could easily have stayed 2 or 3 nights. The room was very neat and fully equipped. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was served until 1 pm on Sunday, which is an unprecedentedly long time! The breakfast was very well catered for, and especially for Easter, it included (chocolate) Easter eggs and homemade egg liqueur. The delicious glass of sparkling wine we were offered in the morning was also very much to our liking. All in all, highly recommended. We will definitely be back!

Lovely, comfortable stay! Beds were wonderful for a restful nights sleep. The breakfast was vast, and catered to everyone in our party. Location was perfect for visiting the Christmas Market.

“Nice Hotel, friendly staff, will definitely stay there again.”
Breakfast - good, better than most, staff friendly and were very obliging if something had run out. If there was something not on show, a special request was no problem. We were even offered a glass of Sekt, unusual for this cozy town centre hotel. The location for our needs was perfect. Our room was also comfy, thankfully accessable via a lift. The surrounding is encrusted with wine bars and Restaurants, most of which are good.
