This guest house is just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Cochem, near the Sesselbahn Cochem chairlift. It offers varied breakfasts, free WiFi in public areas, and free parking. All of the spacious rooms at the Fata Morgana have their own style. They include a balcony or terrace, a flat-screen TV, and a seating area. A range of books can be found in the Lange's lounge. Guests are welcome to borrow books during their stay. The Fata Morgana is beside a forest. It is a great base for hiking and cycling trips.

“Wonderful Stay”
Room was super clean and tidy. It was drop silent at night. Breakfast was tasty and romantically set up. View outside the window of the hill was relaxing.

Extremely disappointed with what was supposed to be a special stay in memory of my late mum On arrival despite booking a two bedroom suite for myself and my grown up daughter only one bed, a double bed, in only one of the bedrooms was made up, the second twin bedroom had no covers on the pillows or duvet and none available for us to even put on ourselves Not what I expect having deliberately booked and paid for a two bedroom suite. Having brought this up with the host they advised me to get one of the duvets and pillows from the double bed to use on the single bed in the twin room. I would also dispute the advertising claim of soundproofing as we were kept awake last night by both our neighbours. Despite checking before arrival about towels, there was only one face towel for us to share and none available in the hallway as promised. The place absolutely stinks of smoke which was extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant for non smokers. The shower was very slow to drain and upon checking the drain hole was completely clogged with the previous occupants hair, disgusting. The car parking advertised is actually about 200m up the road so quite a trek with luggage and would be completely impractical in the rain. Our so called suite was up 5 flights of stairs with no lift which again wasn't advised beforehand and would be completely inaccessible for anyone not very fit and active especially with luggage. Breakfast this morning was basic and despite pre ordering as per the properties request we didn't get what we ordered. No hot milk, marmalade, hot chocolate or eggs. The only positive thing was that we were only just staying the one night

“Warm and welcome stay with an amazing breakfast”
We enjoyed a really nice and spacious apartment for our family. The hosts put in a lot of effort in decorating the rooms and communal areas. We enjoyed our stay very much. Location is perfect near the heart of the old town. Parking is a few houses away, not right at the hotel. We really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning, ordered the night before, but with enough flexibility to adjust in the morning. Very good selection of different food and drink.

“Cochem is a very charming and worthwhile place to visit; I recommend staying here”
Our room had a beautiful view of nature. Waking up in the morning to see this relaxing view was wonderful. Breakfast had everything we wanted prepared, and everyone was very attentive. We were able to park our car in front of the hotel for free. Our room was quite spacious. The bed was comfortable and clean. Cochem is a very charming and worthwhile place to visit; I recommend staying here if you ever have the chance.

We had a late check-in. The staff sent very informative messages about how we should proceed, which was very helpful. The hotel’s location is great. It is also very nice that the parking is free. We would like to thank the staff.

Everything was amazing. It is alright right next to the cable car, 1 min walk to the city center/market. They also provided personalized breakfast (as what appeared to be a family living downstairs). Very kind and highly recommend

“Nice place to stay in Cochem for a few nights”
Check-in was easy, staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Bed and shower were good. Ordering breakfast through a paper form is practical and the breakfast itself was fine
