Enjoying a peaceful location in the heart of Coburg, just 100 metres from the marketplace and pedestrian area, this traditional hotel offers individually designed rooms. Hotel Goldene Traube is dating back to 1585 and was renovated in 2010. The Traube is within walking distance of the Veste Coburg (fortress), the state theatre and Ehrenburg castle.

“Great stay in the heart of Coburg.”
We stayed in Coburg for one night to visit the town and attend the Christmas market there. The hotel was very central and only a short walk away from the town and the market. Staff was also really friendly and they gave us advice on what to see on our brief stay in Coburg. The room was also clean and the bed was very comfy. We really had a great time here at Dormero Coburg.

“Convenient location and very friendly staff”
The hotel is incredibly motorcycle friendly and the staff kindly allowed me to park the bike for free in the hotel car park. It is also located right next to the old town.

The room was nice, the breakfast was nice, and the hotel was clean. The location was great. Most of the staff were helpful and friendly.

“We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful town of Coburg.”
Liked the hotel location, within walking distance of the railway/bus stations. Lovely breakfast with a good choice of food. Husband liked the sauna. The room was very spacious and had a nice balcony. They did find me a kettle as us English do like to wake up to a cup of tea in our bedroom first thing, and unfortunately, kettles are not provided routinely like they are in UK hotels.

“Coburg is a nice place to visit for a couple of days, but stay at a different hotel.”
The hotel was well situated for the town centre. The breakfast was nice. We got a free room upgrade.

The staff goes above and beyond. Guests get little bonus gifts, which in my case was free parking on location. The location of the hotel is perfect, mere steps from the central market square.
