Very cool old jail turned into hotel. Right in downtown Cobourg so easy to walk everywhere. Clean rooms with interesting decor.

“Fascinating and comfortable place to stay with great access to local facilities”
King George Inn is a fascinating and historic building with interesting past. Our room was nice and comfortable and location was great, allowing us to walk downtown and around the beach and harbour. Local restaurant was great (Cucina Urbana) and we had an amazing evening talking with locals. Other highlight a few minutes from the hotel is the Victoria Halls with court room. The security guard told us the history and absolutely fascinating. Out of season there isn't a huge amount going on in Cobourg, but very glad we stayed there.

“Historical, Fun, Adventure, Comfy”
Vanessa radiated warmth. She was lovely and we enjoyed bumping into her in town. She also gives brilliant recommendations. She showed us around some of the rooms with original jail features and the museum downstairs. It was one of our favorite places we stayed at during our 10 day Canada trip. I'd love to come back and stay in the town for a bit longer next time. The whole town had a real community feel

“Lovely historical hotel with beautiful, comfortable rooms but no WiFi and a post 7pm check in fee.”
The hotel is very nicely decorated and each room has a different theme. My husband and I stayed in the library room while our daughters had a nautical theme. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable.

The hotel manager is very accomodating and friendly. I haven't stayed in such a quiet hotel in many years! The location is excellent -- a very short walk to great restaurants and the lake.

Had a lovely stay. The Inn is very well kept, clean and well decorated. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. We loved the history of the building and had a very comfortable stay! Will definitely stay here again on our next visit!
