Overview
Featuring free Wi-Fi, free continental breakfast and lovely garden views, Olivers Central Otago is just 5 minutes’ walk from Clutha River. Built in 1869, the historic property features sunny landscaped gardens with outdoor seating, and a guest library. Olivers Central Otago Clyde is at the start/finish of the Otago Central Rail Cycling Trail, and 10 minutes’ walk from Dunstan Golf Course. Queenstown Airport is a 1-hour drive away. All rooms are heated, and include an iPod docking station and tea and coffee making facilities. Each room is individually decorated, and has a bathroom with a hairdryer and guest toiletries. The tour desk can organise bicycle hire, jet boating, Clutha River cruises, wine tours and skiing trips. The hotel also offers luggage and ski storage facilities. Breakfast options include homemade bread, muesli and yogurt, baked eggs and local fruits and jams. There are also a number of restaurants and cafés within a 2-minute walk.

The breakfast was exceptional. Baked eggs were delicious and there was a wide selection of home preserved fruits, breads and cereals. The plates and knives were high quality and suited the style of the house. We appreciated that attention to detail. Our hosts were very open and friendly without being unctuous. We liked the open access and the key in the front door. At the same time we could lock our room and felt secure. Our room was very warm when we arrived and we were made welcome. The bathroom was spacious. The beds were comfortable and the bedside lights were fine for reading. We also were appreciative of the slightly later check out time of 10.30.

“A delightful, restful and delicious place to stay!”
Our stay at Olivers Central Otaga was delightful, restful and delicious! David and Andrea are very gracious hosts which made our stay even more special. The most perfectly prepared dinner we had during our 3 week trip was in the restaurant of the hotel. We biked around the area for about 3 hours - also a gorgeous and fun time.
