“On balance really cute character place to stay”

Really cute traditional cottage clean and tidy. One bathroom to share. Spa pool was not going when we were there. Three beautiful cats there to share the house with which were going to be locked up at night but were roving about and scratching at doors so kept a couple of us awake at night. Beautiful garden!

Authentic and tasteful original cottage. Beautifully styled and full of lovely thoughtful touches. It felt like we had borrowed a friend’s place. We loved swimming in the river, feeding the chickens in the backyard, yoga in the garden and a Mediterranean style dinner in the orchard. Bliss!

The garden and the charming property. Shower was great and the beds were very comfortable. We got to pick fresh apricots, strawberries and raspberries to eat which were delicious in addition to fresh apricot jam and a Tiramisu provided on our Christmas Eve arrival.

Quintessential Clyde cottage beautifully decorated with modern appliances and everything we needed. Breakfast supplied and we were able to pick fresh raspberries from the garden. Lou was a perfect host. Highly recommend and we would love to stay again.

My partner & I recently stayed at the Historic Clyde cottage & it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The cottage was charming, homely, & filled with character. The location was convenient & provided easy access to local restaurants. Louise was very friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay. It was truly a 10/10 experience and I can't wait to visit again in the future - Thank again Louise

Great furnishings, tastefully decorated.

It had a stunning garden full of old trees and the decor inside was gorgeous. There were windows showing the view, lots to read and nice breakfast provisions. We would love to go back.

Breakfast options were really good, even Gluten free options available which was very helpful, coffee options were great, fresh eggs and juice, really great choices thank you. Cottage smelt amazing with all the reed diffusers. Great decor and blankets laid around the place which was lovely to cozy up under. Loved hearing the chickens and meeting the doggos. Host was very accomodating and supportive and had zero issues with my guide dog being with us. Spa was wonderful I had one every day of my 5 night stay. Very helpful to have a washing machine and dryer as well as a dishwasher and plenty of towels.

The food provided for our use was generous and amazing. We ate like royalty. The house was quiet and relaxing. It was well located very close to the centre of town. Great communication from the host too.

The Clyde cottage house is absolutely beautiful, the interior decor and facilities are exceptional, it is like traveling back in time with modern comfort. The garden was wonderful and Louise our host was so welcoming, we had the best time. Clyde is also very pretty and has lots going on, strongly recommend the cottage, it is an experience in itself.
