“Wonderful cosy spot to stay”

Lovely quaint stay just outside of Queenstown. Very cosy setup with everything you need, including a giant projector to watch movies in bed. Very well designed and felt private and tranquil. Easy to find, even checking in late in the dark, host instructions were very clear.

Very neat & stylish tiny home. lying in the outdoor bath at sunrise/ sunset listening to birdsong & resting our weary legs post fjordland hiking .... pure magic! The projector was easy to use- felt as though we had our own private cinema

An outstanding property. This was definitely the highlight of our trip - private, comfortable, cosy (in the best way). Every little thing has been thought of. The outside bath was brilliant in the rain and under the stars. And the projector and screen for movie nights was a great surprise ! Hosts were delightful, great communication but left us to our privacy as well.

The Box Car is stylish and finished to a high level. It feels authentic to the owners, but also comfortable and stylish for a short break.

We are so glad we made the choice to stay out of the hustle and bustle of Queenstown centre - The Box Car was such a beautiful, peaceful and cosy retreat, despite still being close to Queenstown. Amazed at how so many creature comforts have been squeezed into such a small space. Loved the attention to detail with the decor and design. And the bed was exceptionally comfortable. It was such a treat have a cosy cinema experience on a chilly rainy night.

I had a wonderful relaxing stay. This was one of the best stays I have ever had. The owners have done a wonderful job of thinking of everything a visitor might need. The place has been created with such quality and uniqueness. Book this, it's a must for the experience and the view from the bath alone!
