“Good, but...”
Was easy to find. Room was decent. Breakfast was quite good. we had an accessible room. The washroom/shower was excellent.

“Unpleasant staff, didn't get what paid for, won't stay here again!”
We reserved a room for two adults and one child. We arrived to find that there was one double bed in our room, not even a queen as reserved and no room for a roll-away. No second bed for the third person, not even a fold-out couch. Just one double bed with a single desk chair and countertop. We tried to change rooms, but were told the hotel was booked full and that would have to do since we booked through Booking.com and the hotel wasn't responsible. I explained that Booking.com can only offer what the hotel tells them is available. The bed was not only very small, but was worn out and "caved in". Very disappointed and will not stay here again in our frequent trips to West Des Moines. The staff was not pleasant in any of our conversations and check in took forever even though we had given all of our information online when reserving the room.

Outside the appearance was due renovations bad but the room was great, no carpet, nice laminat floor, great breakfast (still covid safe)
