“A peaceful wilderness retreat and a wonderful base to explore Wells Grey”

Cedar Haven was the perfect base for exploring Wells Gray Provincial Park. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, surrounded by nature but still close enough to Clearwater for supplies and restaurants. We stayed in one of the luxury tents and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was, especially the incredibly cosy bed. The hot showers were wonderful after a day of hiking and waterfall chasing, and the outdoor kitchen was better equipped than some Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. The owners and staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and kindly upgraded us to a cabin for our final night, which was greatly appreciated. A truly special place to stay.

Beautiful, quiet location. We sat for hours on our veranda just enjoying the birds and butterflies passing by.

Super beautiful, cozy and relaxed cabin and tent resort in the woods. We loved the sauna and the fireplaces and had a perfect sleep in the absolute silence in the woods. One of the best places during our roadtrip through the Rockies.

Staying at the Cedar Haven Cabin was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peace and beauty of the surroundings – towering evergreens, crisp fresh air, and the comforting silence broken only by birdsong. The cabin itself was spotless, warm, and thoughtfully designed, blending rustic charm with all the modern comforts you could want. The hosts clearly put a lot of love into this place: every detail, from the cozy fireplace to the well-stocked kitchen, made us feel right at home. We especially loved the large windows that let in so much natural light and offered breathtaking views of the forest. Evenings on the deck, watching the sun dip behind the trees, were pure magic. What truly set Cedar Haven apart, though, was the sense of tranquility – it felt like a true retreat from the world, yet still close enough to enjoy nearby trails, lakes, and charming towns. Whether you’re looking for adventure or simply a peaceful escape, this cabin is the perfect choice.

The cabin had oodles of rustic charm in a lovely rural setting. The cabin had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. We loved the sauna and sitting out on the porch in the evening was lovely

The surroundings, privacy and the tent was so comfortable and had everything you need. The kitchen with de BBQ was great as well as the sauna. Even the firepit was a big plus for us. And last but not least, the staff at the reception!!!

Great location 5km off the road so you feel away from it. Great cabin with excellent amenities. We used the sauna which was lovely. The grounds of the resort are really pretty. And there is plenty of sitting out space - take bug spray!
