We only stayed one night as we were passing through Clarens. The cozy fire did wonders as the weather turned pretty cold that night. We started our day with a lovely breakfast and then headed out. Mercia was also really hospitable and made us feel right at home.

We had by far the most outstanding stay here during our South Africa road trip! The accommodation is very cozy, and the host, Mercia, is incredibly kind and welcoming. We were greeted with homemade cookies and some great restaurant recommendations nearby. We had a lovely evening both out and later back at the apartment, enjoying the delicious complimentary cherry drink along with some wine we had brought. Breakfast was fantastic, featuring fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, and very tasty mieliepap. We truly hope to return someday. Thank you, Mercia and team!

Mercia is a wonderful host and made us feel like friends, not guests. The unit is beautiful and clean with everything we needed available to us. Perfect location, we could walk to town. And the breakfast was amazing! The recommendation to go to Highland Brew turned out to be a bonus to our trip!

Mercia the owner and amazing chef come baker went out of her way to ensure we had everything to make our stay perfect.The decor of the apartment absolutely superb.The location a stroll from the village square. The breakfast is something else.Not your normal greasy bacon and eggs.Superb way to start the day.

Clean, homely apartment. Comfortable & well equipped. Lots of little extras included. Breakfast was a highlight. Mercia's homemade breakfast were unique, delicious & definitely a step up from the usual bacon & eggs! Secure parking on site, & an easy 10 minute walk to Clarens centre.
