Loved the fenced off yard for our dogs. There was more enough grass for them to play on. The owners have two beautiful dogs themselves, so our doggy girls had regular friends to play with. The house itself was comfortable, clean and had everything that you could think off. Just like home.

“Through the pass to peace and tranquility”
We liked the remoteness of the location providing peace and tranquility. The hosts Lefras and his wife were friendly but not intrusive. The facilities were great (including a washing machine that we put to good use).

“Highly recommend Neels Cottage”
We loved the peace and quiet and swimming in the dam was amazing. The cottage had everything we needed. Loved having fresh granadillas from the farm. It was the battery recharge we needed.

“Couldn't fault it, just what we needed”
We had a most enjoyable time here with our 2 dogs, our hosts were very friendly and saw to all our needs. The property was well equipped and in a beautiful setting, close to walks and rock art, and with a nearby good restaurant, would recommend it,

The owners are the best hosts you can imagine, very friendly and they will go an exta mile to make your stay memorable. You can also use their crashpads, bikes, kanu (on the dam lake). The kitchen (shared by the two rooms) is very well equipt, including a dishwasher and washing machine as well as an outstanding braai facility on the covered front porch.

“Wonderful Neels”
My husband and I had the most wonderful 3 night stay at Neels. I cannot recommend them highly enough!!! Lefras and Marieke were so welcoming and friendly. The house has everything you need and more and is so perfectly placed to explore the Cederberg area. Quiet and beautiful, in the middle of the most stunning nature. We will most certainly be back in the future. Thank you so much. ❤️

The space felt like home the moment I arrived. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The area is incredible, the nature around and the different trails...I was so happy I could stay with my dog and go on, beautiful early sunrise walks, or take the Canoe out on the dam. The hosts, Lefras and Marijke, were so kind, welcoming, and helpful with any questions I had. I enjoyed it every day there. I will definitely be back again. Thank you for an incredible time.

Walk around dam, braai facilities. Homely atmosphere with family photos etc, coffee, tea, very good rusks, no milk.

The bed was hard and hollow. The pillows were lumpy. To reach the bathroom, you have to walk through the lounge, so it is not at all private with another couple staying in the same cottage! The hot water tap in the shower is totally insufficient: you have to jump around to catch the few droplets.

This was a friendly welcome and Lefras even made a fire in the indoor fireplace. Very neat and fully equipped.
