“Exceeded expectations”

Best place to break away from chaos. It was absolutely beautiful. The sunsets and stars were so beautiful! It was so peaceful and quiet and the perfect place for us as a couple to just be present with each other. There was a power outage and Lydia responded quickly. They had a generator and in a matter of minutes we were able to go on without any interruptions. Would definitely recommend

Lylius Cottage (Cedarberg): This cottage was situated in splendid isolation alone in a field on a farm. It was compact, clean, efficient and well equipped, although a bit short on eating utensils. It would have benefited from something to lounge on in the evening, but the outdoor braai and the hot tub were nice.

Everything was just wonderful. From the views to the cottage.

The cottage offered more than we've expected. Though it was wintertime, we couldn't go for a hike or make use if the heated pool. More than enough fire wood for the little stove inside and the braai.

we loved the location of the cottage. The river which runs just below the cottage and its sounding are magical.

This cottageis very small but reasonably equipped.We enjoyed the splash pool and explored the area on the property. The braai was well located .Good fridge and freezer. We will try to return preferably not when private camp is occupied

Lovely location, we had an amazing view of the night's sky! The hot tub and braai were brilliant. Lydia and her family are great hosts, we'd definitely return :)

the cottage is very small but very comfy. stunning easy walks. beautiful to see bushmen rock paintings. very peaceful

“An idyllic country stay with magnificent views”

An idyllic little cottage out in the countryside. Well equipped and cosy .... when load shedding was over. It looks small from the outside but had all we needed. As it was a cold wet winter we could not make use of the braai and outdoor furniture. Plenty of hot water and good linens, Exquisite countryside & flowers. Cederburg mountainous roads had been baldly damaged in the winter rains. The pot hole/ford/ bridge was under water. Delightful owner popped by to check that all was ok. We were fine but it could feel a little too isolated for some. A super stay! Thank you!!

The accommodation was comfortable and was well equipped. The location of the cottage on the farm was beautiful. The fireplace inside the cottage was a delight as it was cold and wet when we were there.

it is a fabulous place to just go chill for the weekend. we had a great time away from everything. There is no signal out there so which might be a hassle for some but we enjoyed the break from everything. its very clean and nice and comfortable.

The amazing location with the most magnificent mountain views and private hot tub on the backdoor was blown away the most amazing staff and air-conditioned room with lovely hiking trails and the peacefullness is lovely definitely will be back kids loved the swimming pool, kids play area, jungle gym and hiking trails.
