Personal service and friendliness from the host was exceptional. Clanwilliam is a lovely place and The Smokehouse restaurant is wonderful.

Of all the places I have ever been, the most helpful host which truly added huge value to not just our stay in Clanwilliam but the rest of our trip in South Africa. From such a diligent and caring person it was no surprise the accommodation itself was spotless, well maintained, and had provided all the amenities you would expect for a short stay holiday.

“The excellent CMB team repaired our car and the hosts ensured our arrangements went smoothly.”

Hosts Nelda and Phillip collected us from the bus to the flat where we had left our car earlier. They made us comfortable and added extra rusks. We slept very comfortably, enjoyed the cereals and coffee in the morning and the hosts bade us farewell as we left for our long drive home.

Loved absolutely EVERYTHING! I've traveled a lot and used Booking.com quite frequently this year but Bergsig 2A has been the best experience by far! The hosts, Nelda and Phillip are probably the kindest and most incredible people you'll ever meet. I drove from Durban to get there and Nelda was always checking in on me, even after I checked out along with providing recommendations to see along Calvinia. The hosts even had incredible recommendations to see while I was there for a week, which I planned towards after I had worked remotely from Bersig 2A on some days. I even went on an overnight hike and the hosts were so kind to collect and be available for the hiking gear to be fetched from them both before and after my stay. The unit itself is wonderful with a geyser that's solar powered and wifi that stays on even during load shedding which helped greatly when working remotely for a few days. The kitchen always had amazing rusks, milk, coffee and fruits. So many wonderful things to say about Bersig 2A but truly, the hosts Nelda and Phillip make the experience so much more incredible. Thank you Nelda and Phillip for the wonderful experience!
