Moulin de Vilgris is located in Clairefontaine-en-Yvelines, it the heart of the Haute-Vallée-de-Chevreuse's Natural Park. Set in a former farmhouse originally built in the 18th century, this guest house features a large park crossed by a river. “A dream”
Everything was thought of. The garden with the vast lawns, the little stream and the bridges is delightful. The room was perfect: tastefully decorated, comfortable and with a great shower. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful and contained pastry, coffee, orange juice, bread, butter and a creative selection of home made jams with herbs.

Such a hidden gem! Everything was truly beyond expectations, exceptionally clean, wonderfully cosy, and deeply comfortable. Anne-France and Alexis welcome you with such warmth and genuine kindness that you instantly feel at home. The bed and pillows were absolutely five-star-hotel level — incredibly comfortable — and the cleanliness of the entire place was simply outstanding. We slept so well and felt completely relaxed throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay. We will most definitely be back!

“Convenient, welcoming and comfortable”
We made an overnight stop here on the drive north to England from the south of Frace. The converted mill is in a convenient and safe location, and the setting is simply delightful. Anne-France and Alexis have a done a wonderful job of creating a welcoming little haven of comfort. Everything in the room worked as it should and the breakfast was excellent.

We enjoyed our stay. The owners were super friendly. Breakfast was delicious and the room and beds were very nice. As an extra bonus: the windows of our car were defrosted for us. Very sweet.

“Beautiful site and great hosts”
Breakfasts were very good, as well as the optional (added-fee) dinners. As I was there for an endurance athletic event, after the event I was in caloric deficiency and could have used a bit more food as part of both meals. I had gotten injured and sick with a bad cold (tested negative for COVID) as part of the event and both hosts were very solicitous!

Fresh bread, croissants, yoghurt etc. with the most tasty home-made conserves. Dinner the previous evening was delicious (and much appreciated after a somewhat delayed arrival). The hosts were so kind and accommodating.

“Perfect stop over on our way south”
Beautiful old mill where Alexis and Anne-France have created a very comfortable and relaxing haven. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and all home made including jams and yogurt.
