“Great new gite in the Dordogne, we had a fantastic stay.”
Beautiful view from both the pool and gite. The gite is brand new with all mod cons (even 3 types of coffee machines). Nice heated pool with plenty of sun loungers around. The host is friendly and very willing to help. Example: we didn't have a laundry rack so laid a wet towel out to dry on a outdoor bench. By the time we came back to the gite later that day there was a laundry rack :-). The host is very open to suggestions: we mentioned that it would be nice to have some space in the closets where you can hang clothes instead of only having shelves. He said that it's already on his 'to do list' so should be done soon. Please note that the host only speaks French but he does have friend who is often near the property who does speak English if needed. It's located near Cladech which is a super small village without any shops. The nearest bakery is a 15 minute drive, either to Castlenaud or St Cyprien.
