“Wonderful place, wonderful host”
This is a lovely property in an exceptionally beautiful location. But the best thing is definitely the wonderful host Antonella, who simply could not have been more helpful and hospitable. I travel a lot, this was a truly outstanding experience.

The La Magara B&B is located directly in the old town of Civita (upper part). The central place with most of the bars, restaurants, shops, alimentaris is 5 to 10 minutes away (walking distance). It is an extremely nice appartment fully equipped and Antonella (the owner) is super nice and supportive. The small breakfast and apero balcony is also very nice (you can also see a part of the Raganello canyon). Civita itself is a very nice and lively mountain village and it is perfectly located to explore the Pollino mountains. Antonella is very well known, we also get an "Antonella table" in one of the restaurents, which was very funny. Civita, La Magara and Antonella are definitely highlights in Calabria.

“Civita for cyclists!”
Antonella's apartment was lovely. Its in a beautiful, quiet location at the top of the village with incredible views. Antonella was super helpful with restaurant recommendations and other info on the village. Civita has a handful of good restaurants and the delicatessen Carlomagno is amazing. We really liked Agora restaurant for the atmosphere, local food and great value. We were cycling most days.We were not so lucky with the weather but the scenery was stunning. We got great advice on the Pollino national park from Manuella at the visitor centre Catasta- which also does great food.Would definitely recommend a visit there. The cycling options are good- especially for gravel bikes. They are also just finishing a bike path cycle route that will be a good addition. Hopefully it'll be done for when we come back!
