Overview
Set within the walled city of Ciudad Rodrigo, beside the Puerta del Sol Gate and 200 metres from the main square, Puerta del Sol offers modern, air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. Decorated simply and with wooden furnishings, some of the rooms include sloping ceilings. Each one comes with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries. “A nice, clean hotel room just inside the city gates.”
We arrived early and were able to check in immediately via a code sent to open the door. We were greeted later on and completed the documentation. The room was clean and quiet. They were able to store our bicycles for us. The location is perfect - plenty of sights, restaurants, and cafes very nearby. The construction noted in other reviews is now completed right outside the hotel.

Well-located serviceable b&b. Good quality tea bags available at breakfast and an actual kettle rather than hot water. ideal for single night stay and early check in. ciudad very attractive living, small city with glorious views to the mountains from top of city walls.

“Good hotel to stay at for a stop over”
This was a good place to stop off for the night. It is situated in the old town so you can walk around. It has everything you need but be warned parking is not free between 10:00-20:00. I slept really well here. It was quiet.

Friendly welcome. Even allowed me to store my surfboards in the storeroom. The location was amazing. Lots of opportunities to sit and have a drink and relax.
