“Wonderful stay in the Loire valley”

A perfect stay. The most hospitable welcome from Amelie and Matthieu. A beautiful room. A dip into the lovely pool. Delicious dinner cooked by Matthieu. Ideally located for our Loire chateaux visits the next day. Another relax and swim and further great dinner cooked by Amelie. We had a truly wonderful time. . We hope to return next year.

A great location, beautiful room. Our host was really helpful and friendly. There was an optional superb breakfast and dinner, cooked especially that we really enjoyed. I am vegetarian and the chief made a special dish for me, which I really appreciated. We would definitely stay there again in traveling to the Loire.

“Beautiful, brilliant B&B”

What a truly beautiful B&B. We absolutely loved our stay at Les Hauts de Grillemont with Ameile. The rooms are decorated and kitted out to a high level, comfortable beds, black out blinds, all perfect. The pool is divine and the breakfast was utterly delicious, home made jams, fresh croissants, fresh bread etc. We stayed here for two nights with our (very energetic) two children, (4 & 2 yrs) and Ameile was so kind and accommodating. We had the most incredible meal cooked by Amelia on the second night which I highly, highly recommend doing. Staying here is a must! A huge thank you to Ameile for looking after us so well and for giving us such a brilliant start to our holiday.

3 rooms available in which we were in the lower part of a refurbished old barn. This was ideal on the ground floor with a small patio outside. A superb breakfast was available inside the main house with homemade jams and cake. Amélie made us feel very welcome as our host. The pool was ideal as we're the gardens and Tours and Villandry were not distant.

Amile is an exceptional host who made us very welcome in her beautiful home. We had the superior upstairs room which is enormous and beautifully designed. Very comfortable bed great quality bed linen and big soft towels. We used the swimming pool and enjoyed a leisurely afternoon in the garden. We enjoyed a reasonably priced and excellent home cooked dinner and the company of our fellow guests. Breakfast was also very good.

Charming and helpful hostess

Excellent base to discover nearby Loire Castles. Beutiful surroundings and only 20 min away from the vibrant city of Tours. Room was spacious and clean. The hosts were very kind and friendly, they gave us plenty of useful tips about the local area. I really liked breakfast, served in a beautiful room overlooking the garden there was a good choice of fresh viennoiserie, baguettes, hand made jams local cheese and other savoiries.

Quality and position

Lovely room, extremely comfortable bed and nice breakfast. The host Emily was amazing. She gave us tips on things to see in the area and also gave us a tour of her place which is steeped in history.

“Charming chateau in the Loire Valley”

We were charmed by the place and the hospitality of the owners. The chateau itself, a good place to park a car, a pleasant garden, a barbecue area and a swimming pool - everything was very well maintained. Our apartments were in a neighboring house. I really liked the modern design. The apartment was big for the two of us. The hostess serves breakfast in the main house, everything was charming - antique furniture, porcelain plates and cups, delicious yoghurts and pastries. The location of the house is very convenient for visiting the city of Tours and castles. Separately, I would like to note the owner’s love for local history. She not only told us and showed us the local caves, but also gave excellent advice on what to visit nearby, in addition to the well-known castles. We had a wonderful panoramic view from the hill where Vienne flows into the Loire, and also saw the majestic Fontevraud Abbey. I'm not even talking about the fact that the owner's name is Amelie. I write these lines and my heart is filled with gratitude to her and France.

Welcoming and friendly host. We had the downstairs annex room which was clean and comfortable. The grounds are relatively small but the swimming pool and main house are attractive.

An absolutely stunning property. We occupied both upstairs and downstairs rooms in the annexe adjacent to the main house. Beautiful large contemporary rooms with nice little touches. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in a characterful side room in the main house. Chateau Villandry is a 10minute drive. Not the season to use the pool, but we hope to on another occasion.
