“Excellent option”

Everything was perfect, a great place to stay. We went diving with Cidade Velha diving (very close by) and stayed here, everything was within walking distance. The place was very clean and well kept, and the staff were very friendly.

We hesitated a little bit about staying in Praia and after some locals told us that it is not very safe, we decided to stay in Cidade Velha at Palmira House. It was the perfect decision. Not only was it great to stay in Cidade Velha where we felt very safe and were able to hike, rund, swim and snorkel - the accommodation was simply wonderful!! We felt very welcomed and it was the cleanest and most comfortable accommodation during our entire travels on Cabo Verde. The room was spacious, the bed large and comfortable and the AC a relief because it was incredibly hot when we stayed in October. We were also able to cook in the house, the breakfast was absolutely great, the pool was great (we even got extra pool towels) and we felt very comfortable in the house. In addition we were helped with ferry and airport transfer. Both were late at night and for 30€ absolutely fine. The driver at the ferry picked us up with a sign that said our name and that was very great in the chaos of the arrival at night. In town, there was an amazing restaurant (Batuku-Rua-Banana) and a rum distillery. It was also easy to get into Praia for one afternoon because the public aluguers are very frequent in both directions. To sum it up - THANK YOU so much for a wonderful time and everything you helped us with!!!

Fantastic establishment. Spacious rooms, big beds. All areas very clean. Very pleasant and helpful host (friendly welcome, help with arranging taxi, etc.). Ideal for families - we enjoyed the pool and basket for basketball. Short walking distance to the center of Cidade Velha.

Our host was extremely friendly and helpful. When we arrived very late she drove us to a restaurant and picked us up after the meal. The following day we were able to use the room and the pool for the whole day until our late departure to the airport.
