“Lovely character house and garden with extremely helpful owner”
Lovely character house which is quaintly and tastefully furnished. The owner, Marie France was very helpful and the breakfasts with homemade ingredients were excellent. Pepino is the star of the show.

“Good badis for visiting Baskenland.”
Very nice breakfast with local products. A rather eclectic interior but very comfortable. Nice balcony for reading or meals and with a great view on the nearby mountains. Within walking distance to town or the beach but up hill on the way back. Parking just in front of the house.

Marie-France is the perfect hostess who doesn’t compromise on quality. Nothing was too much trouble. Ably assisted by Pepito, she went out of her way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay to the utmost. Proper hospitality with genuine care for her guests. It was our pleasure to be looked after so handsomely.

The character of the house,quiet position elevated on a no through road, view of mountains from breakfast patio and room, comfortable bed,room with bath, good breakfast. Nice gardens. Very welcoming hostess who volunteered maps and information of St Jean de Luz and surrounding area. Very enjoyable stay.

“DO NOT MISS IT!!!”
La Croix Basque was the most beautiful house we have found in at least 4 years, which is a lot to say bearing in mind we travel a fair amount. The views were astonishing and the authenticity of every piece of furniture, lighting, bathroom… specially the wood work both structural and decorative was simply exquisite. Our host was genuine, kind and beautiful too, who took pride on her outstanding welcoming and superb breakfast. We would happily buy this property and retire there, one the most beautiful corners of Europe, in our view!

The view of the mountains was beautiful. The breakfast was fresh, delicious and plentiful. Our room overlooked the garden where roses were blooming. Our hostess made us feel at home.
