“The most enjoyable stay : comfortable, peaceful and joyful!”

We had the most wonderful few days staying at Aita Baita with the charming couple Claire and Jörg. You would be hard pushed to find anywhere that pays so much attention to every detail concerning your stay. From check-in and helpful local tips to our great breakfasts enjoyed, in the main, on the lovely terrace with Frobisher their canine friend, we made full use of the tips. The house is a lovely mixture of modern comfort with old world charm full of history. We slept so well! The local bus service is a real bonus - you can get about easily and economically without the hassle of finding parking spaces or finding your way around. In 30 years or more of travelling around France and staying in some fabulous places this we declared our best stay ever! We will be back for sure.

We had a very nice stay at this house. Even with the rain, it felt very cozy and comfortable inside. The hosts were extremely kind and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. Our young son also felt very much at home, which we really appreciated. We would definitely like to return.

The hotel is in a very good position for walking into Ciboure and St Jean de Luz. There are lots of good restaurants to enjoy. The breakfast was very good. Claire made me a very good English cup of tea. Fresh bread, fruit and croissants. A good start to the day. Claire and Jorge were very helpful with information about places to visit in the region.

This was a fabulous place to stay. The hosts were the most friendly and helpful I’ve experienced on any of my travels. The house was a beautifully restored Basque Maison. Our room was spacious, quiet, super comfortable and very spacious. Breakfast was delectable and great fun meeting with other guests. We were given advice on things to do and places to see as well as restaurants recommendations that were 1st class Parking was very secure and the location was excellent We hope to return soon

Claire and Jörg are excellent hosts who made our stay in the area 10 times better than it would've been otherwise. They treat you like an extension of their family and go out of their way to help recommend itineraries that are not obvious. I really enjoyed our chats over breakfast about everything ranging from Basque country to world history to geopolitics. Thank you both :)

“Wonderful Stay which most couples will really appreciate”

Our host Claire is wonderfully organised and helped us with places to visit in Biarritz and San Sebastian. The breakfast was excellent and it certainly is a place we would love to return to. Our room was one of the smaller rooms but it was still spacious and comfortably sized with a good bathroom. The garden with the 280-year-old Red Lebanese Cedar tree was a lovely setting for our breakfast and chilling out.

“Warm stay in beautiful b&b in French Basque country”

The warmth of the hosts is omnipresent in this b&b. Going from the wonderful top floor accessible room upto the breakfast. The latter was a unique setting at one large table convivially with other guests allowing to exchange experiences while trying the abondance of food and drinks that came with a personal touch (ao egg/cake/jam) while also getting some tips for local trips (restaurants/car park) and even some history provided by the host. A place where we felt very welcome and would hope to be able to return one day.
