The host couple are very kind, though they can just speak a little English,while we cannot speak Georgia, but they understand what we needs,like hot tea and bag to pack bread to eat in the way. Their dinner and breakfast are much better than Adishi.

“A place to relax in Svaneti”

A lovely slice of life in Svaneti. Really enjoyed the museum and sticking my head out the top of the tower was definitely one of my top moments of 2 months in Georgia (just be careful on the climb up). Very welcoming hosts. Cosy and comfortable room. Dinner and breakfast both great. Particularly loved the outdoor space and hammocks.

“Great alternative to Zhabeshi during the Mestia-Ushguli hike”

Located within Chvabiani, this is a good alternative to Zhabeshi. Maizer and family were very nice and welcoming, deserving the good reviews given. My shoes were wet and they offered to place my shoes beside the fireplace so that I can start the hike the next day with warm shoes. The radiator in the room and space were all working so it was a warm and cozy environment. I was the only one using the shared toilet so it was clean and comfortable. There is a seating area outside the house that have a good view of the field and the opposite ridge. The dinner had more protein compared to dinners I had for the rest of the hiking days. Overall a good stay.

Great guest house in Chviabiani Village! The house is over 900 years old and is super interesting to see. The outside feels like living history but the inside is tastefully designed and very cozy. There is a great dinner and breakfast to be had for 25 gel per person. Extremely filling. The rooms are small but cozy. The family is so friendly and hospitable.

We loved this guesthouse. Maizer and his family were very warm and welcoming. The room was cosy and the dinner was absolutely delicious, as was breakfast. We're still finishing off the bread. We loved the museum. A big thank you!

Old house, the host showed the old room below the tower where they all used to live. They gave delicious home made wine and some chacha. They gave a huge meal for dinner and breakfast and a packed lunch. Favorite guesthouse along the trek! They also have a hammock to chill outside

The owners are super friendly, I was shown a small museum of their ancestral home as well as a tower where I climbed to the roof. The dinner (25 GEL) was really delicious and filling

Very nice Guesthouse. The host Maizer and his lovely wife made sure we have a nice time. Even though they did not speak much English we had a lovely time. The dinner and breakfast were really good and we had a chance to try chacha and his home made wine which was very lovely. Everything was freshly made by the hosts and tasted very, very good. Room was small but we had everything we need. We felt very welcomed and taken care of. In the village there is also a bar which is a hub for socializing with other travelers if you wish to :) Maizer has a little farm and a lovely dog around his house overlooking the mountains. We just loved it!:))

Best guesthouse in town. The family is just lovely. They did a huge dinner for us and the food was so delicious. Real georgian hospitality. The room was nice, comfortable and all was really clean.

Simply brilliant. Comfortable bed in simple room, nice hot shower, delicious and copious amounts of homemade food. Tour to the museum and Tower in the evening, all for an affordable price. Georgian hospitality at its finest. Wonderful experience.

Location is great. on the trail of Ushguli trek. Food was delicious and more than plentiful. They have a nice outdoor area for chilling outside. Room was small but warm and clean. The host knew a few English words which was helpful. Highly recommend.

This is the best guesthouse you can stay in this village. The owner is a great person and he sincerely treated us as his dearest guests. He is a direct descendant of a family that had lived in this house for 900 years. The house itself has a part which was deliberately left untouched so you can see with your own eyes how Svan people lived 900-300 years ago. I cannot stress enough how awesome this place is and how hospitable the owners are! Staying there was one of the best experiences we had not only during the Mestia to Ushguli track but during our entire trip around Georgia.

Our favourite guesthouse on the trek! The hosts are very warm and welcoming and even showed us their small museum. The food was delicious and the portions were big. Definitely recommend staying here!
