“Really fascinating little homestay, situated in the middle of the historical Chumpon fishing village”

The hosts were very friendly at this interesting homestay. Firstly they picked us up from the bus station, and on the way to the homestay they stopped for us to get some food in 7/11. As we arrived they made us a really nice dinner and also organized ferry tickets and pick up for us. Probably the best part of the morning was when a local took us on his boat up the river to the ferry port, during sunrise it was a great way to see the fishing village of Chumpon.

Our stay at Rub Lom Chom Homestay was so special! The team working here went out of their way to be helpful - they took us to the night market for dinner, arranged our ferries and our ferry drop off. We pulled up to the ferry on our own little boat which took us directly to the pier! It was an idyllic space with an outdoor terrace area where we sat and played the board games and had a beer to watch the sunset. We hadn't researched the city too much but the night market was really good and we are so glad we stopped here! It was one of our favourite parts of our trip. Thank you so much for having us.

It is a great place to chill out. I love the outside more than the room and spend most of my day in the patio. The breakfast is great, they offered two styles on my two days stay.The host and staff were nice, they offered a free ride to the town for the night market, and he also took us around the deer bridge which I wouldn't be able to go by myself, and we stopped by a really nice coconut ice cream vandor along the lake!

Very friendly hosts that arranged the pick up from Chumphon railway station and the transfer to the Boonsiri pier in the morning. The homestay is simple but clean and peaceful. A good choice for an overnight stay between Bangkok and Koh Tao.

“Authentic Riverside Hospitality”

Everything. Grear hospitality, lovely people. Last cooked for us 1 night- amazing food. Tge owner was sooooo kind, took us up to the viewpoint, and dropped us at a great restaurant.... The 2 cats are delightful- they do nothing but sleep!!.... We loved being here

Very cute, peaceful and traditional area. More so a place to stay if you are traveling to the islands. I had a room with mattress on the floor, it was definitely comfortable enough but if you are used to luxurious Hotels you may not love it. I loved it however! The food was wonderful. The two owners were amazing. Both very friendly and incredibly helpful. They sorted out booking my ferry to travel over to koh tao, water taxi, my return. Absolutely lovely people. Everyone in the area was also very friendly. The 2 cats that live in the homestay are cute. The bathrooms were clean, I did have a small lizard in the shower room with me at one point. Surprisingly little mosquitos. The air con worked well and I had a fan in my room.

A great Homestay accommodation on the riverside in downtown Chumphon. The family were excellent hosts and could not do enough to help ease your stay. Breakfast was great.

“Lovely Little Homestay”

Lovely little homestay right in the middle of a fishing village, with a very cozy, lived-in feel that makes it more like staying at a friend’s house than at a hotel.�� The location by the canal is peaceful and you can watch the boats and daily village life go by.The room and bathroom were very clean, with strong hot water in the shower and plenty of drinks and snacks thoughtfully provided. The air-conditioning worked really well, the Wi‑Fi was strong, and the bed was very comfortable with spotless sheets and pillows, so sleeping here was easy and relaxing.The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, always ready with local tips, help with transport, or just a nice chat, which adds a warm, family-style atmosphere to the stay.�� Being in a real fishing community also makes it a great spot if you enjoy fishing or simply want to experience local life.Overall, this is a place I would definitely come back to and happily recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, homely stay in an authentic fishing village rather than a standard tourist hotel.

Excellent service, breakfast beautiful location.

This place is wonderful.An oasis. A semi-floating oasis. Guests are well looked after. Free snacks and fruit, water and coffee too. And the hosts so nice and helpful. I contacted them after i left a week later regarding a question and the helped/answered asap! I really regret i did not longer.

“Awesome veranda at the waterfront, in the middle of the fishing harbour”

We only stayed for 20 hours because of transit to Koh Tao. This place was so nice, we would have stayed longer if we knew beforehand. Host and staff is fantastic, speaks good English and are very helpful. We stayed on a Saturday and there was a great food market on the other side of the canal in the evening. You can hail a ”taxi” longtail for 10B, straight from the veranda. We usually don’t eat much street food, but this time we were stuffed when we went to bed.

“Nice safe adventure for couples and single travelers”

Great place to crash for a few days. Sit and watch the fishing boats and fishermen preparing them. The host are very helpful and they organise some of the best and cheapest food to be delivered for you at your request. Very nice breakfast. You have to be prepared for it to be basic and quiet but that is part of the charm. It is a great way to add a bit of adventure and still feel safe. Your face will ache from smiling with the locals
