“A very cosy stay on the 3-day Quilotoa loop”

Such a lovely stay with very friendly staff. It was great value for money. We paid a small fee for the spa, which includes a sauna and steam room. The games room was good fun with table tennis and pool (even if the equipment was a little worn!). Free tea, coffee and water. Meals were excellent which includes breakfast and dinner. The rooms were pristine. Hot water. I was very happy with my stay. This place has a really cosy, family feel.

“Amazing value, delicious food, and friendly staff”

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They made sure our stay was comfortable and we had all the information and support we needed. The private rooms are spacious and the shower was one of the best we’ve had in many months through Latin America! The food was delicious and fresh, and the price was amazing for what you get. We would highly recommend staying here. P.s. If you spot a small tabby cat around, please give her some food and love!!

Hotel Cloud Forest is absolutely beautiful and the hosts were wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.

“Best hostel on the Loop”

Hostal Cloud Forest was easily the best hostel on our Quilotoa Loop trek. The room was clean and comfortable, the food was excellent, and the owners were súper helpful in giving advice and information about the trek. This hostel was much better value for money than other hostels on the Loop. Highly recommended!

By far the best shower we have had at any hostal I'm Ecuador- hot, good pressure. Room was comfortable with a great comfy bed and lots of light. Dinner was delicious (lentils, rice, chicken and salad). Hosts were very kind and helpful. We ordered the packed lunch for the next day which was also very good and a great price. I would recommend this hostal.

“A peaceful oasis in the mountains!”

We loved our stay at this hostel! We had walked from Isinlivi on day 2 of the Quilotoa Loop and were pretty exhausted so it was wonderful to be welcomed and taken to our spacious and comfortable room set away from the main building. We had the best shower of our travels in Ecuador so far! And the host lit the wood burner in the common area just outside our room which made it very cosy. We had half board - which was such good value for the price - and both meals were traditional and delicious. We slept so well as it was so peaceful. There is a space for yoga above the common dining area and there are amazing views to the mountains from the top of the building. We didn’t make use of the Turkish baths or sauna as we were just too exhausted but they seemed to be very good value at $3 each. All in all, it was a wonderful stay here.

“No-frills comfort”

The location was good, and the hostel was a good value for the price. The room was spacious, with ample blankets, and the shower in our private bathroom was hot. The food at dinner and breakfast (included in the price) was plentiful.

Very comfortable rooms and great shower with hot water. The food was delicious. For dinner we had vegetable soup, chicken with rice, quinoa and vegetables and then cake for dessert. For breakfast we had a big fruit bowl, eggs, and pancakes! They also have a very nice game room with pool, table tennis, foosball, darts.. very nice outdoor area also! The staff was friendly and helped us with tips when we needed!

This place is ideal if you are doing the Quilotoa multi day hike. I stayed in the private dorm, which was a good size, with a large bed and decent shower. It includes breakfast and dinner and overall it was a comfortable stay and definitely value for money.

It is one of the best hostels we have stayed in. Excellent value for money. Our room was super clean, with hot water, a super comfy bed and a wood burner in the communal area outside our room which was wonderful. The breakfast and evening meal were great and there is always hot water and teas available. We were given advice about our hike and for our onward journey. Secure parking for our motorbikes also. Absolutely recommend this hostal as your base to explore the area and Laguna de Quilotoa. 😀

“Warm fireplace and quiet nights rest”

Awesome place to end a day of walking! We arrived drenched and cold, and they quickly got the fire going near our room - we were able to dry off and enjoy the warmth! The bed was comfortable, the water was hot, and the included meals were delicious and filling.

Big rooms, hot shower, good breakfast and dinner. Fire place in front of rooms with seating, great for cold nights.

Room was a good size. Hot shower. Place was clean. There was a fire in the communal area, right by the room. The food was not bad. There is a pool table and ping pong table (although it would help a lot to buy new paddles / balls). Good lunch box.
