NICE PLACE, BREAKFAST 'CONTINENTAL' ISH BUT VERY STRANGE BREAKFASTING ON SHARED TABLES. NOT EVERYBODY IS SOCIAL AT 07.30 - A SOMEWHAT FORCED ATMOSPHERE. EXCELLENT SHOWER AND THE CURRENT TREND OF WALL MOUNTED (LET'S SAVE A PENNY) SOAP DISPENSERS ACTUALLY WORKED, WELL DONE.

Breakfast great. Nice to be mixed in with a variety of guests. Lovely lounge, dining and outdoor area. Great location opposite Arts Centre, near Art Gallery, good places to eat out and Botanic Gardens. Tram stop nearly opposite. Beautiful old villa and I was privileged to be able to stay in the heritage part. Very nice touches like unlimited tea and coffee in the dining room plus fruit bowl, cookies etc, The glass of port in the evening was also much appreciated

It’s a beautiful old villa walking distance to lots of cool stuff like the Art Gallery, the big market, and shops and restaurants. The room was lovely and very comfortable, and the common areas are also wonderful. Big fully equipped kitchen and a cozy living area with a fire. There’s sweet touches, like an old fashioned liquor stand in the hallway, with little glasses and port that you can help yourself to. Very nice breakfast. The people managing the property were absolutely lovely!!

“Comfortable stay in a fabulous location. Easy to travel to.”
It was so nice to spend a day out then come back to make a hot drink in the kitchen and sit in the spacious, comfortable lounge. The outside area looked good too. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

“Extravagant boutique hotel with many amazing extra touches”
Hosts were welcoming and friendly. Location was central to town and I could walk to the Riverside Market and to the Scott monument. Historic property was extremely well presented and had lovely touches eg port trolley in the foyer was complimentary. Continental breakfast was fresh and tasty. Gardens are beautifully kept. Liked reading about the history of the building.

Lovely welcome. Hosts made us feel right at home and encouraged us to treat it like a home. Had a lovely couple of hours chilling in lounge reading after whistle stop tour of city. Right on tram route and across from major attractions. Would stay again.
