We were expecting to stay in the Manor House. We were given an ordinary motel room, nothing special about the room. We were extremely disappointed as we were the only guests staying that night.

The location was ideal as there is an excellent coffee shop and also a bakery right across the road. The coffee was five star

“A luxury stay in Christchurch”

The location was perfect after staying at St. George's as a patient. I needed an extra day to get over surgery, but not at a hospital level care. Booking the room was a last minute decision. I asked the earliest I could check in & was told as soon as I was discharged from hospital. Karen phoned me directly to let me know. Having another 24 hours in a peaceful beautiful place definitely helped me manage a long drive home. The Peacock Suite was a perfect room for me. The comfy bed & pillows enabled me to have a good nights rest. Karen was a lovely host & nothing seemed too much trouble. Definitely a place to stay again in Christchurch.

Great location for an easy and efficient trip into the city

The room which we had in the manor for 2 nights was too. small. It was hard to get past the mantle piece when getting out of bed and also. tricky to set up the ironing board. The table was very small also. We enjoyed spending the last night across the road in the unit.

We had a modern studio unit in front of the charming old Merivale Manor House which dates back to 1880s.

Lovely big room with very comfy bed and all the kitchen and bathroom facilities we needed. Fresh tasty breakfast was delivered to the room. Excellent laundry room available on site. Good location on bus route into city centre. Friendly and helpful couple looking after the place while the owners were away.

Fantastic hosts, great room - better than expected. Super comfy bed and the room was lovely and warm. The location is great, just a 20 minute stroll into the centre of Christchurch. Plenty of parking at the hotel.

Stunning historical house. Wayne and his wife are lovely people who make you feel at home. Perfect location for both city center and parks (at least for those who love a walk) Or you can house the bikes available for the hosts . On the other side of the street an excellent bakery and breakfast.
