Very good apartment with helpful owners. Great area For beaches and local amenities. Bus stop to Chania and Stavros 2 min walk. Pool is lovely and clean.

“Lovely way to spend the last of our holidays here.”

This is a Charming little place if you want peace and quiet. There is a lovely restaurant across the way where we got to indulge in authentic Greek music on a Friday night where they break the dishes. The grocery stores were also very handy and everything was well stocked. It's only 12 km from the airport but you still have to take the taxi unless you rent a car. There are city buses available if you're adventurous enough to figure it out. Poppy the mother was extremely helpful and brought over treats for us. And her son Dimitri was also very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a nice quiet stay.

Had all the amenities for preparing my breakfast and dinner… very clean and spacious room, the bed was very comfortable and the outside sitting corner area was super cozy … a very good Taverna opposite the property if you want to dine out, shops for food are closed by too.

“Wonderful apartment”

We had a lovely vacation at Skandalis. The location is perfect, close to several beautiful beaches with crystal clear water. The apartment is very nice, large and comfortable, with air-conditioning, fully furnished and in front of a beautiful swimming pool. The owner is very nice, friendly and helpful. She cleaned the apartment every two-three days, bringing us cake and fresh tomatoes. Overall we had a wonderful stay and vacation.

Great pool and location 🩷 Poppy was very cute and the best to us

The apartments are family run and beautifully designed. Mother and son hosts are lovely and happy to share some home made goat cheese. We chose the only apartment that had ocean views. Balcony with ocean views was our priority which meant as an adult daughter travelling with parents I had to make do with a little single room more suitable for a family with child. But it was was comfortable and I did not have to camp in the living room. Everything was as per the pictures and we absolutely loved every moment of our stay. It was private and we enjoyed having the pool to ourselves all the time. The tavern across the road is brilliant and the barista coffee at the supermarket 50m from the apartment was pretty good too. There is a bit of traffic noise but not really noticeable at night at all. We would happily stay again and be back soon as we had a brilliant holiday. Even after exploring the western part of the island with skandalis as a base we didn't find another spot we would have preferred to stay.

“Lovely little gem!”

Very friendly owner, she dropped me off at the beach and to the airport for my return flight. Rooms are lovely with all you need. There's a restaurant and supermarket literally over the road. Came for a peaceful, quiet break and this was perfect for that!

The location was easy to reach from the airport and we were warmly welcomed even though we checked in late. The communication before arrival was great. And when we got here she made sure we had everything, got even an extra bottle of water. She made sure we got our Wifi-code. The quality of the Wifi was good and fast. We could perfectly prepare ourselves for our travel. The apartment was well equipped anf comfortable, it was very clean and Mrs. Popi was always available to help us out if we needed anything.

My stay was short and sweet but communication was excellent. Staff were helpful regarding directions to property, self check in instructions clear and very accommodating with any questions and shuttle to bus station on my departure. Loved the architecture and the pool was a relief

very nice apartment. Clean well maintained. I recommend it. The beaches are nearby, there was a restaurant opposite the accommodation, as well as a cafe and a supermarket.

Popi is one of the most generous and kindest hosts I have ever met. She made us feel so welcome!! We unfortunately only stayed one night on our way out of Chania. Our apartment (Kleo) was very spacious and I loved the historical building(s). Kalathas Beach, which is gorgeous, is nearby, so staying here for a few days is definitely worth it.

Parking was easy. Lovely host. Great views. Good size swimming pool. Comfy beds and all the rooms a good size.

“Excellent self-contained apartment in great location”

A really comfortable, spacious self-contained apartment with cooking facilities, great shower and shared swimming pool in the small village of Chorafakia. A number of good tavernas and a well stocked small supermarket nearby. Two excellent beaches - Kalathas and Tersanas - are located about 1km away. Ideal for an uncomplicated, relaxing holiday. The view from our apartment topped the list but only just. The hospitality provided by Popi and her son Dimi was also really excellent … a complimentary breakfast on the first morning, flowers in the apartment and gifts of cake as well as assistance with any needs.
