Vishnu was a great host and a very professional guide. His place was very big and surrounded by the nature. For stay his lodge is a very good option but more so I will recommend to stay at his place so you can have him as your guide for your safari as he thrives in his profession. He is very sharp and attentive, always keen to lock his eyes on the big nocturnal predator whose sight is very rare. On my safari, because of his these mentioned attributes I got to witness her rare sight in her abode. She was bathing in a pond. If you want to see her too then you know where you have to stay.

A truly special place in the jungle When we arrived, it felt like stepping into the world of The Jungle Book. And when we left, we carried with us a heart full of images, moments and the feeling that we had taken a few steps into a world full of wonder and mystery. The guided jungle safari was an extraordinary experience. At one point we even followed the tracks of a tiger on foot, while Bishnu quietly and attentively shared his deep knowledge about the jungle, its animals, plants and the people who live here. Experiencing the forest this close and in such a respectful way was unforgettable. The lodge is beautifully set in the middle of nature. We slept deeply, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle, and felt truly recharged. Bishnu and his family welcomed us with such warmth and kindness that we immediately felt at home. The food, lovingly prepared with ingredients from the garden and the surrounding nature, was wonderful. Thank you, dear Bishnu, for opening the door to this fascinating world. Something from this place will stay with us, and we will often remember it with gratitude and respect. We hope to return one day.

Everything. The family is the most genuine, kind and enthusiastic you could never meet. Each member is a ray of light. Vishnu is extremely passionate about his work and it was awesome to go trekking with him. I believe it's not only about the experience itself but mainly about who you share it with and we are very grateful to have done it with him. Saru cooks delicious meals and is very flexible and friendly. The rooms are clean, spacious and bright. The bed is comfy and you can sleep like a baby. The place is very peaceful and we loved the surroundings. The family puts a lot of effort into having a pleasant environment where life is more than enjoyable and it makes a difference.

“Absolutely incredible experience with Bishnu & his family!”

Absolutely incredible - we stayed here for three nights and went into Chitwan National Park on two occasions with Bishnu. We have been travelling for two months and this experience was our favourite so far, we loved everything. Bishnu and his family were so friendly and welcoming and the food they prepared for us was delicious. The surround park area was quiet and tranquil and full of wildlife. Thank you for an amazing experience that we’ll remember forever.

We had a 4 night stay at Chital Lodge and cannot recommend it enough. Despite some bad weather on our first full day causing floods, Bishnu did everything in his power to make sure we got into the jungle to see as much as we could, which included 2 half day walking safaris and a 4 hour Jeep safari. Bishnu and his family provide home cooked and home grown breakfast lunch and dinner, which added with the stay and safaris all come to a brilliant price. not to mention Bishnu helps organise transport to and from the remote lodge and is always available via watsapp if you have any questions or need help.

The host family are beautiful, warm and very welcoming. They loved their home and sharing it and that is incredible to see. The safaris Bishnu took us on were very special and the village itself is lovely to cycle around. The room was cosy and the place has everything you need for a memorable stay in Chitwan! Thank you!

We had an amazing time at the chital lodge. The family is super nice and welcoming. The food is delicious and home made. The location is quiet, away from busy areas and surrounded by green. Also the the whole area is not overrun by tourists, the people in the village still live in a more traditional way.

We had a really nice stay at Chital Lodge. We could arrange a transfer from Bharatpur airport to the lodge and from Chitwan to Pokhara and had a warm welcome from Bishnu and his family. We experienced some really lovely freshly made meals. Bishnu also took us on several safari’s which was really fun!!

The owner, Bishnu, is amazing. We did two full days of safari. We walked all day and looked for tigers. We saw a lot of animals. The rooms are new and very nice. In short, the place feels like Jungle Book.

An amazing location with an amazing family! Had an amazing time exploring the jungle, home cooked meals every night with a beautiful and private room, couldn’t rate it any higher.

Amazing location. The hosts are so sweet and will take so good care of you. Food was freshly made with products from their own garden. I went on a jeep and walking tour through the jungle, which is truelly a once in a lifetime experience. I highly recommend!

Beautiful place away from the busy Chitwan areas, therefore perfect, if you want to experience wildlife and nature. Amazing walking safari and amazing family owned lodge!

Bishnu is a great host and guide during jungle excursions. Very thoughtful and knowledgeable. His family is just as nice. He goes out of his way to make sure each guest is comfortable and has a unique experience.

“Great family stay in a village near the jungle”

We really enjoyed our stay, peace and quiet in the bosom of nature - we highly recommend it as a break from crowded cities. You can experience a bit of village life. The owners are very nice, they will gladly tell you about life here - Bishnu is a great jungle guide, organizer and cook! We could rely on him. We highly recommend it :)
