“The perfect base to explore Chinon - you truly couldn't ask for more!”

We were spending 3 weeks travelling around France and Chinon was our first stop. I am NOT a confident traveller, I can find the smallest of things stressful, so the fact we found Caroline & John's place was a blessing! They couldn't have done more!! Breakfast was excellent - you had the choice to ask a day in advance for a more cooked option, which my partner had and said it was gorgeous. I think I ate my bodyweight in homemade Jams AND the homemade almond croissants on the one morning where to die for!! Both hosts gave us recommendations and it did feel they would of bent over backwards if needed to help (not that I would of expected them too). The room was beautifully designed, plenty of parking space for my husband's pride and joy :) If I could rate more than a 10 I would, we both would!! It was a perfect start to our trip as it really did settle me as a very nervous traveller and someone who worries beyond belief. If you want somewhere to stay as a perfect base to look around Chinon with TOP class hosts then book - you will not regret it :)

“A luxurious oasis of calm in pretty Chinon”

The beautifully and tastefully furnished room (and reception / breakfast room) was a luxury for us, as was the delicious, fresh and varied breakfast. The garden is a gorgeous oasis of calm and the room facilities are generous, allowing for relaxation and privacy. Caroline is the perfect host, who has thought of everything her guests might need. She made our stay extremely enjoyable and comfortable. The villa is just a 5 minute walk from the pretty town centre, we just wish we'd had more time to explore Chinon!

“Charming Villa with exceptional comfort !”

A beautifully renovated Villa full of charm, appointed with period pieces and modern comforts. We had a lovely room at the front with a very comfortable bed and a good sized exceptionally clean bathroom. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is delicious; continental or cooked. The location is excellent as it is just a short stroll into Chinon. The property is behind secure gates with parking which was great for us as we were carrying bikes. Would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was nice, fresh fruit salad and homemade yoghurt with lots of bread and a fresh croissant. It was an ideal location for walking into Chinon and great to be able to park onsite. Beautiful bath towels and a really comfortable bed.

This B and B had an interesting history. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast was lovely and the location was walking distance to many restaurants. The bedroom was very quiet and comfortable.

We booked this accommodation a short-notice as my wife and I were touring France on a grand (mystery) motorcycle road trip. How lucky we were finding what can only be described as a little bit of heaven in the Loire valley. The accommodation can only be described as palatial, charming, and beautiful. Plus, there's free safe and secure parking (not that you need it; Chinon is a super-safe location). The hosts are extremely lovely, sincere, and welcoming people, and they treated us as VIP's. The facilities, cleanliness, attention to detail, breakfast (the plum jam was amazing), and personal service were of the highest standard we've ever experienced during all our grand road trips. Set in the beautiful medieval town of Chinon, it only took 5-minutes to walk into the town. If you ever contemplate visiting Chinon, you must stay here!

“Charming B&B within a short walk of Chinon”

La Villa is lovely B&B. The front of the house is framed by a charming garden. Rooms are well considered and very comfortable. Breakfast is generous, with quality, fresh produce…I also enjoyed an evening meal here which was delicious. And the owners are warm, welcoming and helpful.
