“An oasis of comfort.”

I booked this accommodation to shorten the drive after a swelteringly slow border crossing into Nicaragua. The superlative service, comfortable room, excellent restaurant and included breakfast was a welcome respite from the tough day due to the 4 hour border crossing.

“Too expensive, but nicest place closest to Chinandega”

This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed at this hotel. There really aren't a lot of options in Chinandega, and this is probably the nicest hotel that is the nearest to the city of Chinandega. It's too expensive, and with the 15% tax it felt like I was paying too much for a hotel in Chinandega, which really isn't all that nice of a place to visit. It is nice that there is a discount for the weekends, but again with the 15% tax (which I know isn't the fault of the hotel) it's too much. That being said, the place has its perks. The staff are pretty friendly and hard-working. I had a very good cappuccino in the little bar that was fairly priced. The included breakfast is great and I like that it goes until 10am. You can order eggs any way that you like. There's very good granola with a creamed jam that I loved! Fruit, fresh juices, baked goods, breads, salsa, gallo pinto, platanos, very good. The grounds around the pool are quite nice with lots of seating, although the pool was mostly closed while we were there because of Tropical Storm Sara. It dumped so much rain! This time we didn't order any food for lunch or dinner, but last visit we did and I remember the dinners being very delicious, and you can be served at the tables by the pool. The rooms are spacious, as was our bathroom. The restaurant next door, RostiPollos, has the same owner and is pretty good and very convenient. We tried the sushi place another block up the road, Dragonfly, that was just okay. The AM PM convenient store and pharmacy are very convenient as well. The best is to go get nacatamales at a place very close by (10-minute walk towards Chinandega, right at the roundabout towards town, and about 2 blocks down on the right) only Friday-Sunday. This woman is FAMOUS for her nacatamales and you really must go! They are the best, and only a few dollars. You can eat there or take-out.

I thought I had a transaction issue. The hotel promptly and proffesionally handled the matter and resolved my issue. The Hotel is well insulated from city noise, and is great place for a clean, comfortable and relaxing evening after a long day.
