Overview
Hotel Route-Inn Kamiyamada is just a 5-minute drive from Togura Train Station (on the Shinano Railway Line) and features a free buffet breakfast with fresh-baked European breads and a hot public bath. A wooden desk and carpeting give the rooms a warm feel. They come with free wired internet, an LCD TV and a bathroom with a bathtub. An air humidifier is available on request. Sarashina no Sato Museum is a 10-minute drive away, and the Arata Castle ruins are a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Guests at Kamiyamada Hotel Route-Inn can relax in the public baths and use the coin launderette. Dry cleaning services are available at the front desk, which also rents laptops to guests. The complimentary Japanese and Western buffet breakfast is served from 07:00-09:00 at Hanachaya, which also opens for dinner. Coffee is also freely available in the lobby, from late afternoon onward.

“A very clean and comfortable stay in modern chain business/ traveller hotel.”
Great onsen facility. Room whilst tight on space was clean, modern and comfortable. Check in front desk staff were very friendly, efficient and welcoming. Nice location for walking around and exploring Kamiyamada. Included breakfast was very good .

“A very unique location for a route inn business hotel”
This route inn is situated in an area with traditional Japanese spas, and I was pleasantly surprised to smell Sulfur in the Onsen(public bath), something that you don't experience at other route inn hotels. The hotel has 3 separate parking lots nearby, and car users do not need to worry about parking their cars. Breakfast was good and my room was quiet.

“Recommended, especially if you have your own car.”
Was an awesome stay! The Onsen bath was incredible, the room spacious and clean with everything I required, even plugs/cords for phone charging. Breakfast was amazing with an array of choices. They also have a small adjacent room where you can get free coffee and work on your computer. The only complaint was the location, but then I knew that before I went so not an issue. Easy access by car from Ueda station at a 30 minute drive or so. Oh an finally, the staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Thanks very much!
