Beautifully located in the woods. The owner is such a nice guy. He made me vegan dinner, we did birdwatching together. You can relax in various spaces. It was one of the best places I stayed and additionally such good value

“A green paradise!”

We had a fantastic stay at Paraiso Verde. The accommodation is situated right amidst lush greenery, with a magnificent view. Spacious rooms, friendly staff, and a delicious breakfast. We would love to come back again!

Great location, in the midst of starting cloud forest, overlooking the sunset. Very hospitable host, clean and cosy rooms.

The site itself is very nice. It was easy for me to get onward transportation. The room was great and i could sit on the porch and watch birds. If you like birds, butterflies and orchids this place is for you. Close to the orchid centre. Otto is great company to chat to and the breakfast and dinners were very good.

Otto and the family made us very welcome and kept us well fed and very happy in the bar, lots of rum and cokes! It is a very relaxing stopping point for travelling between Antigua and Tikal.

Beautiful location so peaceful and very easy to get to from coban. Big clean room with private outside area for relaxing/ reading, drinking water provided and had access to cooking facilities. Otto was a wonderful host we felt so welcome and he was always contactable for requests/ local advice. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful property in the middle of a forest with a nice walk through the forest.

Lovely place to get away from it all. Saw some lovely birds in surrounding trees from pur terrace. Easy to get into Coban. 10 min walk to bus stop where buses leave every few minutes. Food was good too. Otto was a great host

The accommodation was set 7 minutes away by car from town down a gravel road. Very quiet accommodation. Offered a small trail around the property for the fauna of the country. The small bar area at the top of the hill had great views and offered a quiet social zone. And only accommodation in Guatemala with real hot water in the shower. The host were very accommodating super helpful and friendly , thank you!!!

“Staying a few minutes from Coban, in a beautiful little piece of jungle”

The property is absolutely beautiful, situated in the middle of a small forest. The owners are very dedicated to conserving and restoring the beautiful nature in this area. It's possible to spot some rare birds. The meals are simple, but tasty and well-priced. Otto was very helpful in providing suggestions for activities and arranging the shuttle for us to our next destination. Coban is very easy to reach, with chicken busses passing by every 10 minutes or so.

I felt home immediately. Everything is made ithblove and u can see and feel it. They care about nature and that is exactly where I feel the most comfortable too.

I absolutely liked everything about this place, the house nested in the middle of nature offers peace and relaxation. Many colourful birds come share breakfast. It's a treasure house with many interesting objects and stories. The owners, Victor and Otto are the kindest, I felt part of the family.

“You should come here!”

First of all, Marta, Otto and his father are such beautiful people. They taught me so much about nature, birds and Mayan culture. I loved having a chat with you all and playing games after dinner. Paraiso Verde is in the middle of the nature, surrounded by trees and plants. For the first time, thanks to Otto’s experience and knowledge, I was able to see beautiful and colourful birds. Sadly, I don’t have any picture of them as I wanted to fully enjoy watching such amazing creatures. Dinners and breakfasts were delicious! And I pretty loved the fact that this place tries to be as much low-footprint as possible. As suggested by Otto, I went to Biotopo del Quetzal very early in the morning, experiencing the mini bus at 5.00 am. This was incredible. The route was stunning. Staying with you was my Christmas’ gift. I am going to miss this place. Definitely!
