“A wonderful, warm, Italian home to enjoy!”

Claudia and her son were very welcoming and maintained regular contact prior to and throughout our stay. They went out of their way to assist me with a phone call to local business and arranged a taxi for me to visit the business. The apartment was comfortable and made us feel that we were at home in Italy. The kitchen was stocked with all cooking needs as well as a basket of goodies for breakfast and snacks. Claudia truly meets the definition of a host!

huge, historical apartment. large rooms with comfy beds in the vent of Chieti. Friday morning you can enjoy street market at the front of the building. very nice and helpful owner! I recommend this place!

“Found a home in Chieti :)”

I'll first go over the things important for other travelers: the apartment is clean, spacious, and very comfortable! It is close to everything you might want to visit in Chieti. Claudia is a wonderful host, we felt so at home!! Now, something none of us will ever forget: the way Claudia accommodated us and helped us out on arrival. The reason for our trip to Chieti was an opera performance at Teatro Marrucino. We were supposed to be on time to comfortably check-in and attend the performance after that. However, the whole thing turned into an adventure after my flight was delayed for 2 hours, so we barely made it on time to enjoy the opera. The biggest reason why we did manage to make it is Claudia and her willingness to do our check-in basically online via messages and to wait until the late hours after the performance to welcome us to the apartment. If you ever need a place to stay in Chieti, this should be your choice!! Claudia, grazie mille per tutto!!! Speriamo che la musica ci porterà nuovamente a Chieti un giorno!

“Pleasant stay in Italian beautiful palazzo”

Claudia, the owner, was very helpful in everything we needed. Te views from he balconies were beautiful nad it was located close to the city centre. It feels like home, and also we appreciated all the books and games in the appartment for our little daughter. Would definitely come back.

Although Casa do Marisa is not a B&B, there were bottles juices, milk, packaged toast/pastries and coffee stocked in the kitchen. We only needed to go out for breakfast on the last of our 3-day stay, when supplies ran low. Our host, Claudia, told us a little of the building’s history: built by her great-great grandfather for her great-great grandmother, Marisa, in the mid-1800’s. Claudia was available to answer any questions we had and will give you as much of an orientation to the area as you want. And she will point out the view of the Adriatic Sea from one of the apartment’s three balconies. The palazzo is located basically at the top of the hill near a fanciful and lush public park with an amazing belvedere overlooking a green valley with snow capped mountains beyond. This was a particularly beautiful surprise to see in mid-July. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the main square, from which there are several streets radiating in all directions, each with its own vibe for food and shopping experiences. Don’t miss Corso Marrucini and the two arched loggias that come alive midday through the evening. One evening we caught a free public jazz concert in front of a church piazza. The central location made a great starting point for half-day car trips to Pescara, Penne and Loreto Aprutino. I should mention that the accommodation offers off-street parking, so there is no stress coming or going during your stay.
