Overview
Right at the foot of the Casteldarno Castle and 1 km from the alpine village of Chienes, Gasthof Obermair offers a restaurant, traditional-style rooms, and a shared garden. Bikes can be rented for free. The en suite rooms face the castle or the village of Casteldarno, while most feature a balcony. Some have been recently refurbished, and feature a flat-screen TV. A breakfast of cold cuts, cheese and homemade jams and cakes is served at the Obermair Gasthof. The restaurant specialises in Tyrolean and national cuisine. Free Wi-Fi is provided in public areas, which include a TV lounge. A tennis court is available, and can be booked at reception. Central Brunico is a 10-minute drive away.

“Perfect!”
Everything was amazing. I truly felt like I was in South Tyrol, especially thanks to the staff — they were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful, perfectly connected to everything, and the food was simply delicious

“Will come again.”
Very friendly Personal, an very old building, but very modern bathroom. The furnitures are old but useful. Giving the room a good charme. The restaurant had a surprising a la carte offer.

Pleasant quiet guesthouse about 10 mins uphill walk from station, next to the castle. Due to train problems I arrived late (by taxi about 9.45pm) and had to knock on the window/door to be let in, However, I had warned them of possible late arrival, and there was no problem. Good breakfast.
