This traditional 3-star hotel enjoys a central location in the Bavarian town of Chieming and is just a 5-minute walk from the shores of Lake Chiemsee. It features free Wi-Fi. Dating back to 1863, the Gasthof zur Post Oberwirt offers a long tradition of hospitality and Bavarian cuisine. All rooms were fully renovated in 2007 and feature cherry wood furniture and modern amenities such as a flat-screen satellite TV. Enjoy traditional German specialities in the rustic restaurants. Guests can order à la carte or choose from a selection of daily and weekly specials. Guests can enjoy cycling and walking along the lake-side promenade, only 500 metres away. It is also possible to take boat rides to nearby islands, play golf or enjoy a game of minigolf. The Austrian border is only a short drive from the Gasthof zur Post. There are many free parking spaces in front of the hotel.

Nice apartment with a great view of the mountains. Close to the lake and less than an hour’s drive from Salzburg

“Big and clean but basic appartement/suites wit friendly staff”
Nice and clean appartements. They serve good local dishes in the restaurant. Very friendly host who helped us a lot with our "holiday problems" (car broke down). Location is wonderful when traveling with kids, large lake on walking distance.

The property was located close the the lake, approximately 800 m. There was a good restaurant.
