We arrive at the hotel early in the morning, check in, and are given a nice room immediately, even though it is only 9:30 AM. The room is very large and had two king-sized beds. The bathroom is fine. Breakfast is included and it's tasty. There's a nice swimming pool, though it's located by the busy Valladolid-Merida highway. One can also swim in the 'piscina ecologica', natural limestone-bottom pool. In the evening, one can enjoy dinner at the hotel's Kasta-Kan restaurant, a typical Mayan restaurant, and then have a drink or a beer by the pool. The service is friendly and attentive. On the other side of the road there is Ik Kil cenote, and nearby the ruins of Chichen Itza.

“Best budget option”
I paid €26 through this site, breakfast included. For that price I got a decent room, good bed, perfect airco, strong hot shower, a nice pool, friendly staff, good cook who made me a delicious lime soup and poh chuc in the evening (also cheap). For that price! And you’re 5 minutes from the entrance to Chichen, so you can be first at the ticket gate.

“Perfect place to stay for visiting Chichen Itza”
Comfortable accommodation with great restaurant/ bar area on the edge of a swimming pool. The host Alberto was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was the true selling point, just a 5 minute drive from Chichen Itza! Would recommend getting there early (just before 8am opening time) as queues build up quickly - we drove past an endless stream of tour buses heading in on our way out at around 11. Ik Kil Cenote is literally across the road from the accommodation and is also well worth a visit.

“OK for one night”
You get what you pay for, okay for one nights stay to visit Chichen Itza temple. This is a motel, close to a busy road. You can’t be picky regarding breakfast. Egg and ham served with bread. We did bring some cereals of our own for our daughter and they gave us some milk for that. Very much appreciated

“An actually nice place to rest your head after a long drive.”
Reviewing sometimes is hard, as you have to compare high-class 5* resorts on the one hand and road-side motels on the other end of the spectrum. Hotel Doralba is one of those places, where you usually just stop for a night and then move on the next day. Having said that, I can hardly remember any other motel worldwide with a friendlier and more pleasant staff as this family run place. Yes, the rooms are basic, but really kept clean. The restaurant kitchen provides just local food, but it's done freshly. My family and I actually really liked it there and would recommend it to everyone who does NOT need a perfect photo on instagram, but a nice and clean place to rest very close to Chichén Itzá. (And visit the cenote across the street!)

“A beautiful stay with lovely staff”
The staff here are super lovely. They try hard all day long to keep this place clean and tidy. It’s a short 4 minute drive from Chitzen itza (taxi is 100 pesos) and right about the Cenote which is beautiful for swimming. They have a restaurant serving local food and they go above and beyond to try hard to make this nice. Breakfast is eggs and ham , coffee, juice but it hits the spot early in the morning. The rooms are huge and even though dated I’m not too sure what people expect for such a low price! People who say there’s ’bugs ‘ well, you are in the middle of nowhere so just shut the shutters and windows and bathroom door! The grounds are beautiful and the 2 pools are lovely. Yes leaves fall into the pools but they have someone cleaning them and they can’t stand doing it all day long! If you just want a true Mexican experience for 1/2 nights this is your place .

For me, the BEST hotel in Mexico!!! Unfortunately, I was only there for one night, as I was just passing through. 😒 Where should I start? The staff were very, very friendly. Especially PEPE—he was always smiling 😃. Pepe, many greetings to you. The room was very clean and spacious. No spiders, no other insects. The bed was comfortable!!! The bathroom was very clean. There was nothing to complain about. I really looked, but I couldn’t find anything negative. I work in the hotel industry myself (management), and I know where to look. I have no idea why some guests rated it poorly!!! If this hotel isn’t for you, then you need to go to a 5-star hotel!!! I really can’t rate anything negatively. For me, it was comfortable!!! 2 pools, a restaurant, directly on the main road, and across the street a beautiful cenote “IK KIL,” where I went swimming. TOP location!!! Within a week at the latest, I will also write a review on Google Maps and publish the videos and photos from my drone. Many, many thanks!!! Kind regards, Darek

“Convenient and reasonable for opening of Chichen Itza at 8am.”
Great location only 10mins drive to entrance of Chichen Itza and a few more minutes to Piste town. Opposite a Cenote as well. Clean room with hot showers and fragranced toilet paper. Scrambled eggs, hot bread and jam with self service coffee for breakfast all served from 7am so you can be first in at Chichen Itza and get into official car park(cost mxn 120). When we left at 1pm all car parks were full and people queuing.

“A nice place to experience Chichen Itza as an early bird!”
Very practical location, near the cenote, near Chichen Itza. Pool looks nice even if we did not try. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Big parking slot and friendly staff.

The two pools were lovely. It was very close to Chichen Itza and a cenote, so it was possible to get there early before the crowds. I ate one evening at the restaurant which was very good and very reasonable.
