“Excellent Hostel”

Everything about this hostel is great - the rooms are very nice (the aircon is incredible here), the shared spaces are huge and comfortable, and the staff are so kind. If you collect ink stamps, they also have some really cool ones alongside their business stamp. The laundry was also on the roof terrace where we could hang out clothes to dry. Everything you need in a hostel. If you come to Chiayi, please stay here!

“Excellent!”

We spent great fes days in the city and this hostel met exactly our expectations on the location, cleanliness, coziness (we had our own room) and equipment (kitchen and terrace on the last floor).

“Well located”

5minutes from the train station... Well equip; good kitchen, washing machine, lounge aera and balcony spot... easy chek-in. Can leave luggage day-oof check-out until 3 pm..

“Clean and convenient”

The property is clean and accessibly located 8 minutes from Chiayi station. There are lockers to fit your valuables and backpack in. The security keycard system is helpful to ensure your safety. This place is a good place to stay for a night or two while you’re in Chiayi.

“Good for a night”

I like having my own room with my private bathroom. The open space common areas (basement, upper floor and rooftop) are really nice. I can see it's a really lovely place for a group of friends.

“Ironic name, as it is anything but light”

The location is very convenient, though Chiayi is a small and walkable city anyway. It was also a very cheap stay.

“Clean and well located”

Super clean bathroom, big enough single mattress, lovely rooftop and kitchen area, free water dispenser and tea bags. To reduce plastic waste, Taiwanese law prohibits hotels from giving single-use toiletries for free; these items are available for a small fee near the reception (and towels also).

“Overpriced for what you get”

We stayed at several guest houses/hotels in Taiwan and this was exceptionally clean and so immaculate. Maybe the place had been recently renovated. Good security, complimentary tea and water.

“Quick stay in Chiayi”

Quiet street, near to convenient store. Easy self check in and out. Washer and dryer available.

Walking distance to train station (not the HSR station), few 7Eleven nearby, very helpful owner, clean and quiet environment.

“Nice hostel in Chiayi”

Good hostel for budget travellers with common amenities like towel, hair dryer, soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. There are washing machines & dryers (for a fee) on the top floor. The location is convenient, walkable distance to train station and night market. I like that there are cabinets for individual shoe storage so the common area doesn’t stink haha and the slippers are sanitised every day

Cosy, close to the bus station and night market. Free water and teas. Clean with a good kitchen and common area.

“Great hostel!”

The hotel is accesible, it also has an elevator for the luggage. The staff is very helpful and shares tips about Chiayi. Our room was clean and well equipped.

Great location, good value for money. Paying laundry machines and dryers on the top floor is a plus. Overall clean and comfortable.

Perfect location, in walking distance to the train station, bus station, and night market, friendly and welcoming hosts. Nice roof top terrace and kitchen. The mattress/bed was pretty hard though.
