“Our stay was relaxed and with just the right level of attention from our hosts - highly recommended.”
Il Grillo has the personal touch. You may find more 'professional' accommodation in Sicily - but that's more than compensated by the warm and friendly hosting of Nicola and his family. Locally sourced produce (sausage from the surrounding countryside), eggs direct from the happy hens outside, fresh coffee of hot milk to start the day - all delivered to the table with a smile and some conversation about the coming day. If you're very lucky, you may even have your picnic supplemented by some of their incredible home cooking. Special mention to Coco and Lolo - two very friendly and gentle dogs. The cats may take a little longer to mix with guests - maybe if we'd stayed longer! The pool hadn't made it into photos yet so was a welcome surprise.

“Paradise in the countryside”
Don't know where to start :) the place exceeded my expectations by far, everything was just perfect, starting from location and finishing with the sweetness of the owner Nicola. Il Grillo is located in a very quite area with vineyards around it. Communication prior to our stay was excellent. Greeting by the host was top notch even though we arrived pretty late. There is parking on site which was convenient as we were travelling by car. The room had everything we needed including welcome water and juices. Amazing bfast prepared fresh every morning by the host and his family. Fresh fruit was given every day and any time we were around. On the last day (even though we didn't ask for it) after advising Nicola that we will be leaving at 6am, he prepared bfast for us and some food to take with us. Our son loved it as there were many animals and he kept asking to go see chickens every morning as soon as he opened his eyes. We will definitely be back and thank you so much for your hospitality. Best stay ever!
