Lovely, welcoming hosts and a cosy lived-in atmosphere. Clean and comfortable for facilities, and the on-site sale options are insanely reasonably priced (711 priced changs, waters, etc). Also nice to be over in that part of town, where the food and the vibes are local (and cheaper)

The owners are lovely people, and the place is in a really neat part of town. It's outside of the normal tourists' circle, but it's close to everything.

Very quiet, Nice Hostel. The beds Are Even more comfy than they Look on the photos. I slept very well!! Also the Hosts Are really welcoming and friendly! Nice Food options in the area. Good Price for what you get.

Top place in Chiang Mai . Amazing owners helped us with scooters and made sure that we always have a good time , ate good food and enjoyed . Best neighborhood in Chiang Mai for local food and less touristy vibes .

My favourite hostel in Thailand! Tangmo house is a guesthouse with charm, and a warm, homely feel. It’s in a great location- outside of the Old City but in walking distance to anything you need, and a big plus for the food options. The owners are really interesting people to talk to and they truly go the extra mile for all their guests. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable and free tea/coffee for the morning. I would recommend to anyone coming to Chiang Mai and will definitely be back in the near future :)

I visited Chiang Mai a few times in the last couple of months and I always come back to this lovely hostel. The owners are so kind and helpful. It’s always super clean and the beds are really nice. You can rent a bike for a fair price or book trips from here. See you next time!

The hosts were so so friendly and accommodating! Bed was comfy, free water, coffee and tea 24/7. Would stay again when I come back!!

“Good stay and Very Clean”

clean and lovely owner . i think for the price , it's great deal. However no Kitchen or real common space . Mostly to sleep . The area is local , that's good it changes from Old town and very safe , i like it

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at! Incredibly clean, amazing staff (it's managed by a husband and wife only), social vibe with a lot of space to do your own thing as well, and comfortable beds and rooms. I also like the location as it's a bit outside of the center while still having a lot of great options around, so it has more of a local vibe. And you can get to the old town in a few minutes by bike (which you can rent for very cheap at the hostel). Felt right at home, will definitely come back next time I'm in Chiang Mai!

Amazing hostel, located in the student quarter of Chiang mai. Hosts are very helpful, welcoming & friendly. They have scooter rental and cozy common spaces. The beds were super comfy and clean. Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Would totally recommend & stay there again :)

“Family owned, clean and comfortable perfect for solo travellers”

An overall great place to stay as a solo traveller. The owners provide a homely atmosphere with the great music, the comfortable living area and the lovely plants outside. I love that the place is cleaned to a high standard and there are basic facilities to use like fridge, microwave, kettle and hairdryer. They also serve food, coffee and scooter rental at a really good price! There is another area upstairs by the kitchen to work or eat food which is a nice touch. Good location too - not too far from the old city but closer to mountainous areas! Also you have maya mall which is about a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the hostel. I’ll be coming back soon!

One of the best hostels in Chiang Mai, especially when it comes to value for money, vibes, the staff and the facilities ❤️ I especially love all the plants outside.

After three months of traveling, I’ve finally found a place that feels like home – the Tangmo Hostel. The two hosts are incredibly kind, welcoming, and go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The hostel is perfectly located, spotlessly clean, and has plenty of showers. The beds are super comfortable, and the overall atmosphere makes you feel genuinely cared for. To top it off, you can rent bikes or scooters directly at the hostel, making it even more convenient. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here – you won’t regret it!
