“A peaceful and soulful stay in Chiang Mai!”

What I loved most about Tamarind Village was how peaceful and soulful it felt right in the middle of Chiang Mai. The property had this beautiful hidden-garden atmosphere with lush greenery, lanterns, traditional Lanna design and such a calm energy after the busy markets and temples outside. It felt authentic, intimate and incredibly relaxing — the kind of place that makes slow mornings and iced coffees feel extra special

“Excellent”

The location is excellent — right in the very heart of the old city, peaceful yet central. Just a five-minute walk away is the main temple, and the weekend market is also on this street. Seeing the famous ancient tree in person was truly wonderful. The room was clean with powerful air conditioning, and the breakfast was healthy and delicious. The staff were very friendly.

Staying at the Tamarind Village was one of my favourite experiences in Thailand. Tastefully decorated rooms and beautiful, well maintained gardens- this hotel is in a different class. The location is perfect- in the centre of the old town but the grounds are so peaceful you would never believe it. The staff at the Tamarind are fantastic- knowledgeable, helpful and kind. We really enjoyed the walking tour and afternoon craft sessions which are both complimentary and made our stay feel more personal. We didn’t have dinner here but breakfast and lunch by the pool were both excellent. It’s nice to see the hotel make efforts to avoid having too much food wasted at the end of breakfast service each day.

Great location - walking distance to shops, bars etc Sunday evening market right on door step. Lovely quiet pool area. Very very efficient and lovely staff. Very informative, Free local walking tour of Wats, temples, bar and massage recommendations etc

Very central. For a hotel in the middle of town it was an oasis of peaceful tranquility. The restaurant was excellent and the staff super attentive. The B’fast was ultra good.

Overall, my stay here was absolutely satisfying from start to finish. Everything was smooth and pleasant right from the moment I arrived. The check-in experience was seamless, and even when the road in front of the property was blocked due to the Sunday market, the staff kindly guided us all the way to where we could catch a taxi — truly exceptional service. The massage service offered here was also incredible and far better than any street massage place I’ve tried before.

Great location right on main walking street, but the hotel is set back in its own grounds so no noise. The buildings are old and intresting, staff gave excellent service, breakfast was good

The hotel is situated in the old city of the main road, and is hidden with no traffic noise from the main and side road. The size of the swimming pool is good and is placed next to the restaurant /cafe with indoor and outdoor sittings. The gardens are well kept and maintained and provided nice view from the room balcony.

Absolutely beautiful traditional architecture boutique hotel. Restaurant and breakfast stunning . Sadly the pool was closed for renovations but the manager kindly offered us free spa treatments in lieu. Very nice touch.
