We loved the local area of the homestay, and we really loved one of the ladies who worked there. Maybe she was one of the owners, maybe not...she was so warm and lovely. She helped us to book a day trip to Chiang Rai at a very good price. She was the number one highlight for our stay.

Manfred, narumel and chuck the dog and...and it was like being at home, and if you read this Manfred it's Steve the Englishman with the beautiful french wife who walked too fast....you were wonderful and we were sorry to leave and say hello to Nye for us....and thank her for her help and her generous smile...all the best Steve and Flo and Flo says she likes that it was an oasis of tranquility.

Great place! It is located in very quiet area of Chiang Mai. The hosts and personnel are very warm and helpful people, and they helped us finding best attractions in the city. Breakfasts were always delicious and freshly cooked. Atmosphere feels very homey, you can relax there admiring fish in pond among lush greenery. When I am next time in Chiang Mai, I will definitely come back here!

Baitong Homestay is a special, possibly unique place to stay in Chiang Mai. For a couple, or a single person - it gives excellent value for money - as well as a super positive sense of 'belonging' to the Baitong family - along with all the other guests. The 'included' breakfast is excellent - a choice of delicious Western egg/omelette based options, or a delicious traditional Thai style 'porridge'. Both come with excellent homemade bread + cheese/jams - plus unlimited quality coffee or tea. The rooms are perhaps a little small and thin-walled for a 10/10 ... but the hosts and Baitong team, and the local area more than compensate for this ... and after all, it is a 'homestay' not a 4 star hotel. Highly recommended- if you're lucky enough to find a free room, don't hesitate to stay ... a week or more.

The hosts and staff: they are the true highlight of the place! The owners, Manfred and Narumol are welcoming and kind hearted (even packed a breakfast bag for when we left early for the airport). Nai, the housekeeper, is just amazing! So kind and easy to chat with, spoiled us and took care of us the whole stay. She helped us with breakfast, laundry, and (having been a guide before) booking of very good tours for a better price! Our Chiang Mai experience would not have been the same without these people. The place felt so much like home that we extended our initial 3 nights stay to 7 nights! Location: perfect! Its own quiet oasis in the middle of town, close to everything (hospital, markets, 7 eleven, Aum restaurant, a must try vegetarian restaurant!) The hotel: lots of greenery, many plants, fish ponds, cute pets, and a nice terrace upatairs.

Owners and employees are incredibly kind and helped us book experiences and trips, saving us money each time. Rooms are plain but are super clean and have everything you need. Breakfast is great with fresh baked bread and eggs cooked for you each morning. Couldn't ask for more!

Excellent breakfast, probably the best I've ever had in Thailand. Very comfortable bed, managed to sleep for 12 hours. Good hot shower, WiFi good.

Basically everything but the thing that worth's the most is the people who work there. An adorable couple and the incredible and efficient Nah, she helped me with absolutely everything. And one night they invited me to a delicious dinner because the streets were flooding. Best hotel ever

“Perfect”

It really feels like home. You are welcomed to a loving and caring family that wants you to be happy with them. I travelled alone and i had my privacy at all times while also feeling taking care after. Such a magical experience 🩷

The best part of my stay here was the friendly and helpful staff. Narumol and Manfred were very welcoming, and the housekeeper gave great suggestions for trips and other activities in the area. The breakfast was tasty. The area was calm but still fairly accessible. Some markets and stores are within walking distance, but otherwise I recommend using Grab.

The staff working at the homestay were very kind and helped me book a few tours while I was staying in Chiang Mai. The breakfast was a great start to each day. It included an omelet or scrambled eggs, homemade bread, fresh fruit, tea and coffee.

I love everything about Baitong Homestay. The character and homey feel of the place is lovely. Mr. Manfred and his wife are always kind and accommodating. Checking if I need anything. The staff too are the best. Absolutely enjoyed my stay in Chiang Mai at Baitong Homestay. 100/10 would recommend to friends and family.
