Wow! This beautiful home stay would have to be one of the best we've stayed in. Truly a relaxing oasis! The cosy cottage amongst the garden is just what we were after. We also loved that it was owned by a local Thai family. The service from Mai Mai exceptional! She was so accommodating with any requests and gave great recommendations. Truly a magical relaxing place, it's going to be hard to top this place. If we find ourselves in Chiang Mai again we will be absolutely sure to book again. The room was so also so clean and comfortable! Decor was super tasteful.

Everything was lovely Meimei looked after us and was super responsive whenever we needed anything The room so comfortable and everything well looked after We booked the room near the road (which came with a warning that it would be louder than other rooms) this is true, light sleepers should consider this but I wore earplugs and it was okay Lovely terrace facing the pond Highly recommend

Meimei and her mother are exceptional hosts. The hotel and garden are stunning—beautifully designed with great care and excellent taste. The only slight downside is that it’s a bit far from the center, but it remains a wonderful place to stay for a couple of days if you enjoy a quiet and romantic atmosphere.

We had an exceptional stay at Baan Sawanbuuri in Chiang Mai. The hotel is a true haven of peace: quiet, beautiful, tastefully decorated, and filled with a warm, family-like atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away. A huge thank you to Mei Mei, who manages the place with her mother. She was incredible from start to finish: always smiling, helpful, and full of great advice. Thanks to her, we were able to enjoy the best experiences in Chiang Mai. She even booked our tickets for various activities and guided us with valuable tips that made our stay absolutely perfect. We 100% recommend this hotel, both for its charm and for the exceptional care given to guests. We would be delighted to come back! 💛✨

“Great retreat to a jungle feeling homestay just out of town”

Besides the super friendly staff and homey, cosy and luxurious atmosphere, the rooms and decor are just expertly curated. The pool and fitness fascilities are neat and considering the small amount of possible guest big enough. Feels like you stay in the jungle. Awesome

“Amazing stay!!”

We LOVED our stay here. This is a gem of a hotel. We stayed in the family room as a couple and we were blown away by how beautiful the room was. It felt like you were in the middle of the jungle. The bathroom was exceptional, beautifully designed and had a switch to turn on a little waterfall outside to watch through the window. The bed was very comfy. The room had 2 HUGE smart TV’s with access to Netflix (logged in already for you to use) and other apps. The staff are incredibly lovely and the swimming pool is very relaxing overlooking the pond. The gardens are a real oasis!! Like anywhere in Thailand with nice gardens… bring inspect repellent 🙌🏽 We ate at a Thai restaurant that they recommended down the road which was a 4 minute walk and was very tasty! (Great coffee also!) We would highly recommend! 🙌🏽

This is one of the best experiences we have ever had in a hotel. The whole setting is unlike anything you might have seen before — it feels like you’re in the jungle, surrounded by plants, water, and the sounds of animals at night. The rooms are completely insulated, so there are no bugs. Mei, the front desk attendant, is incredibly helpful. In our opinion, it’s totally worth not being in downtown Chiang Mai. This place stole our hearts.

This has been the best accommodation of our entire trip across Thailand. We loved everything about the place but the true highlight has been Mei, our host, who always went the extra mile to make sure her guests have a perfect stay! The boys loved the pool and the gym. And not to forget mum’s Pad Thai!

The location was fabulous for us. It is very quiet but there a lovely restaurants very close by as well (5 mins walk) as well as a 7-11. Mei Mei and Win were excellent hosts, super friendly and helpful. They helped us organise trips and advised on the best places tO go. The food was superb! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We will certainly be back if we go to Chiang Mai again.
