We stayed in the private room on the ground floor. The room was huge, with modern appliances. Comfortable and clean bedding and towels. Also, the breakfast was great and staff were super friendly and helpful.

Loved everything about this place. It was very clean and their breakfast was amazing as well. Their staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We didn’t know what to do in Chiang mai or where to go or how to book anything so the staff helped us out with all the things.

The room was very spacious and it had a very lovely design. The space is comfortable as a home and a place to relax. There are also many books to read. We enjoyed breakfast as well because you have several options and they make it fresh for you.

We really enjoyed our stay at Amaka Bed and Cafe (Amaka 1). A big highlight was the delicious breakfast – we especially liked the rice with chicken or pork and the pancakes with fruit and yogurt. The Thai tea was also excellent. The location is perfect, as most interesting places in the center of Chiang Mai are within walking distance. We especially appreciated the approach of the owners. One of them, Láďa, who is originally from the Czech Republic, gave us many great tips for trips, restaurants, and places to visit in the city. Each room also has a helpful guidebook with a map of Chiang Mai and recommended spots. Thanks to their advice we visited Doi Suthep and also joined a wonderful full-day trip to several beautiful places – Angel Cafe, a temple, and the Sticky Waterfall. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were wonderful. We would also like to thank Prim, who was always smiling, kind, and very helpful. The place truly lives up to its motto – making you feel at home while traveling and meeting new friends. If you are in the historic center of Chiang Mai, we also recommend stopping by Fern Forest Cafe. In our opinion, it is one of the best cafés in the city and definitely worth visiting for something delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Amaka Bed & Breakfast in Chiang Mai. Everything exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable and beautifully maintained, and the whole place has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. What truly made my stay truly special was the amazing staff - especially Prim. She was absolutely wonderful - kind, helpful, and smiling, always ready with great recommendations about what to see and do. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect start to the day. I also used the laundry service and my clothes came back absolutely perfect - fresh, clean, and very well taken care of. I highly recommend Amaka Bed & Breakfast to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. Clean room, sweet and caring personal, great breakfast, directly in the town centre. Ask them for tours to various places since they have various cooperations with tour companies like Thai Cooking class, sticky waterfalls, elephant sanctuaries. Actually cheaper prices than on booking, getyourguide and co.

We only stayed here for one night and for that purpose it was adequate. The room was quite small and appeared much larger in the photos. It was also a bit confusing, as we booked the Deluxe King room and the listing showed several different images, many of which featured a noticeably bigger space than the one we received, which felt somewhat misleading. As a result, there wasn’t much room to move around and we weren’t that amused. On the positive side, the room was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable, not too firm. The location was okay in terms of convenience, although the surroundings weren’t particularly attractive. Overall, it’s fine for a short stay, but nothing especially memorable.

Receptionists and owners are very lovely and helpful people. They help with tours and transfers. Breakfast is cooked by the owners. Everything is clean, tidy and cozy. Room is being cleaned everyday and the fridge is replenished with water ☺️ Close to a night market and the city center. My wife was really amazed by the scented candle lamp.

I had a wonderful stay at Amaka Bed and Breakfast. The host was incredibly nice and helpful, always ready with thoughtful recommendations and assistance that made my time in Chiang Mai much easier and more enjoyable. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the Old City and close to local markets, temples, and plenty of authentic food options, yet still quiet enough for a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was another highlight: fresh, tasty, and a perfect start to the day. I especially appreciated the care and attention put into making sure guests were well looked after.
