Bad aircon, it's quite small aircon for the big room. The location is good with a view of the Mekong River but far from the walking street only if you had a car that's fine and a little dirty swimming pool with no filter or water system.

Lovely resort with nice garden and view! Wake up early for the foggy Mekong river view, much better view than town! Room is very spacious and it has 2 bathrooms. Staff are friendly and price is so worth it compare to the rest of the town. Highly recommend for those who travel with their own vehicle. Swimming pool is small but nice.

“Character-filled garden resort right on the Mekong with the best mountain views.”

I loved this resort. I was originally planning to stay in central Chiang Khan but after looking at reviews, it sounded like hotel rooms there tend to be noisy whereas Kaeng Khut Ku (10 minute drive) is quieter and the view of the Mekong river and the mountains is better. Also, a whole bungalow here was cheaper than one room down-town. Some reviews had said the reception staff were unfriendly, however the staff on our arrival (and throughout our stay) were always friendly and helpful, so I suspect that particular staff member has been weeded out. I had booked a whole riverside bungalow which I thought was going to be two bedrooms and living room, but it turned out to be two rooms side-by-side (one with a queen size bed and the other with two big single beds), each with their own front door, which actually worked better for our particular travelling party. The beds were among the most comfortable I've ever slept in, the room was very clean and had everything you'd expect. Because we arrived at night, we couldn't see any view but when we woke up in the morning and opened the curtains there was an amazing panorama of the sun rising over the mountains across the river in Laos. The bungalow has a balcony at the front with some bench seats and a lawn garden so we spent the morning there just drinking tea and taking in the beautiful view and peaceful setting. We then headed to the pool for an early morning dip. I really liked the pool because it's surrounded by trees offering shade as well as resort rooms that are teak Thai-style houses; very picturesque and relaxing. This resort caters to local Thai tour bus groups and as such, the tour bus section of the resort can be noisy. However, the resort knows to put independent travellers in rooms far from this area. I recommend our bungalow L1/L2.

“All in all a very enjoyable stay”

Excellent location,well kept gardens and we had 2 rooms overlooking the river with lovely views of the mountains.Breakfast wasn't available at the resort but a very good restaurant within 50 meters.
