I loved everything about Wichouda Cottage! Fay and Lucas are the most exquisite hosts. They are kind, thoughtful and the most talented chefs. Honestly, I’d fly back to Thailand to stay here just to eat the food. The dishes on their menu are the most delicious and flavourful food I’ve ever tasted in Thailand! Their attention to detail made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. The accommodation is luxurious, with a room big enough for a large comfy bed, as well as a dining area. Separate bathroom and shower. There are also various areas to sit outside, which is so relaxing, as you are surrounded by stunning scenery. There are two bamboo gazebos in the gardens, where we chose to eat breakfast. Fay and Lucas serve you a delicious breakfast, whilst you sit beside rice fields overlooked by the mountains. The accommodation is situated within landscaped gardens with a small river and ponds filled with incredible fish. A really calming, peaceful and idyllic place to stay, whilst seeing Chaing Dao and the surrounding area. There’s a moped for hire, as well as push bikes. A small shop within walking distance, and larger stores / supermarkets in town, 5 minutes drive away. Wichouda Cottage, Fay, Lucas, and their cats are a real find! We will definitely be visiting again.

Close to everything, very hospitable hosts, veggie garden, fish pond, open spaces to sit, very clean, motorbike rental on premises, very friendly 13yo cat. Also, there are only 2 rooms to rent on the property so it’s very peaceful..

We can highly recommend this place and would always come back. It’s an amazing place to relax in the north of Thailand, where your soul finds peace and calmness. Totally cozy and clean. We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Wichouda Homestay & Cottage and can wholeheartedly recommend it! The family was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ensuring we felt comfortable and well taken care of. The room was super clean, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hosts also provided excellent recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and activities, which truly helped us make the most of our stay. The food they prepared, though from a small menu, was absolutely incredible: fresh, plentiful, and lovingly made. The green curry, in particular, was one of the best we had in Thailand! The location in the countryside was peaceful, offering stunning views and easy access to town. The bike rental service made it even more convenient to explore the beautiful area of Chiang Dao.

Quiet property with expansive grounds in a pleasant neighborhood about 15 minutes from the wonderful Wat Tham Pha Plong (our favourite) and the wildlife sanctuary. The hosts speak English, French, and Thai.
