The views were incredible. The decor fun and funky. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was super yummy and all home made.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ribbonwood House. That was our best accommodation on South Islands :)

The property is in a stunning location and impeccably cared for by the owners. The beds are super comfortable. Gardens are stunning. It feels like staying with a favourite Aunt.

The most wonderful end to our NZ trip. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better it did. A beautifully appointed room with such thoughtful touches and a bed that you could sleep on for 100 years! The most delicious evening meal - optional but don’t miss and a breakfast that was out of this world! Both containing homegrown and homemade ingredients. Every guest is made to feel like a friend. Please don’t miss this wonderful property.

We had the most AMAZING time. We stayed for one night and decided to come back for a second night because it was so great! Gary and Robert are the nicest hosts ever and the rooms are lovely ❤️ Also the breakfast is really good and the view is breathtaking!!

Ribbonwood is simply perfect

The hosts were absolutely lovely, warm and welcoming. The property is well placed near local vineyards and the local attractions. The property is also set on a beautiful block of land with amazing views of the ranges.

Everything. It is obvious that Robert & Gary love what they do and they put 110% into giving their guests the ultimate relaxing experience. Their home is gorgeous, the view spectacular and personally I don't think there is anything more they could do to make your stay any better. We absolutely will be returning.

Ribbonwood was luxury personified! Everything was quality; nothing but the BEST! This was one of the most spectacular holidays we have had. We were warmly greeted by Gary and Robert, two exceptionally talented, kind hosts with wonderful personalities who provided us with epicurean meal delights, beautifully cooked with produce sourced from their own orchard and gardens. Every room at Ribbonwood radiated warmth, sophistication and outstanding decor. The spacious guest rooms were themed according to native flora; everywhere, tasteful artworks enhanced the warmth and sophistication of the relaxing living areas and a cosy fire and spa pool added to the unparalleled amenities. The immediate exterior of this beautifully-presented, hill-top location was a horticulturalist's dream with extensive lawns, orchards and gardens, manicured and maintained to the highest standard. The panoramic 360 degree views were superb and look out over the Leamington Valley towards the Inland Kaikoura Ranges, Mt Parnassus and Waiau Valley. The hosts' sheep and cattle grazed in this idyllic, serene environment.

Fabulous location and views! These guys are the perfect b&b hosts - both attentive and entertaining. We had dinner on Friday night which was beautifully cooked and presented and both the cooked and continental breakfasts were lovely. Spacious rooms, huge comfy bed, lovely ensuite and nice little finishing touches. Thanks Gary & Robert!

If we could give Ribbonwood more than 10 points, we would. Gary and Robert are warm, welcoming hosts who have carefully considered the needs of their guests and created a very special place to stay. The property, garden and views are all stunning, the rooms are beautiful and so comfortable, and breakfast is terrific. We loved every moment of our stay and very much hope to go back.

We really enjoyed the friendly hosts, and wish we had booked an extra night to enjoy the views.

Beautiful location, amazing views of the landscape. Very warm and hospitable hosts, instantly felt at home. Room has lovely amenities and was very clean. I booked dinner, highly recommend, very tasty! Breakfast was also great. Great experience!

High quality, extremely comfortable beautiful inside and out. Location was peaceful and views were fantastic. Wonderful rooms, great decor and very comfortable, excellent food. Gary and Robert were terrific hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. We were made to feel welcome and enjoyed the whole experience. The garden is amazing and the animals and home grown produce including the pleasure of delicious preserves with freshly cooked bread every day - simply fantastic. Thank you for letting us share in your fantastic home and environment.
