The staff, Ruby and Rien are wonderful, friendly, helpful and fun to chat with. The roof-top terrace is where I watched the sun rise in the mornings and had an evening smoke, the location is excellent.

Terrace was really nice to see thw sunset and hang clothes too Very good location, less than 10min walk to the port Tip: if you arrive by ADO, walk down to the next corner to get stop a taxi on the road as it will be a cheaper option than the one right outside the door (they will charge you more than double)

The staff was absolutely amazing and friendly. We forgot a small item and they went out of their way to find it in our room and send it back to the ferry terminal to be shipped to Caye Caulker in Belize!

“Avoid at all costs”

WORST hostel we’ve ever been to, and we’ve been to hundreds over the years. The kitchen was seriously dirty with bugs and grime everywhere. The pots and pans were rusty and a health hazard to say the least. There was a large loud party comprised of local Mexicans in the common area until 1am which they didn’t inform us about, and never apologised for. Basically, we didn’t get to sleep until 1:30am. The aircon unit also didn’t work and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Another health hazard. The shower had two settings—freezing or boiling hot. Less than ideal. Customer service was absolutely appalling. When we spoke to the owner and the receptionist about the party and broken aircon, not only did they refuse to apologise but they said it was our fault that we didn’t contact them at midnight. The whole situation was abhorrent, but also laughable.

10 mins walk to water jet station, a good choice to stay before ferry.

Staff was super welcoming, good location. Following an iasue with water pipes, the manager offered a full refund and assistance with finding alternative accomodation - yet I decided to stay and all was fine.

Nothing positive about this place. For the price we paid, this hostel was not only a rip-off but a serious risk to our health. Avoid it at all costs. I wouldn’t even stay here if it was free! The shared kitchen was no better—infested with bugs, dirty surfaces everywhere, and lacking basic equipment like a microwave. To make matters worse, the bedroom had no windows or proper ventilation, and the air conditioning unit was thick with mold. Breathing in mold spores can have serious health consequences, and this place is a health hazard in every sense of the word.
